UNC-Duke... Battle for the Most Overrated

You might learn something if you talked to me. I just get dumber the other way around.

I've learned that some people take themselves way too seriously...

Seriously, I am willing to learn from just about anybody who has beneficialities for me.
Would you be willing to give me another chance ?

I don't think beneficialities is a word. Not trying to start anything, just saying.

If you think the rivalry is overrated, your sadly mistaken.

If you think the media goes overboard trying to hype the game and make it a media darling, your dead on.

You win !
Tell the truth, whoever wins(until the next big Big East game) is the front runner for winning it all... According to the media, of course...

I see what your getting at, but no. If Duke wins they will not be the favorite to win it all. Carolina still most likely will be even with a loss.

I think Duke is playing really well. They are outmatched and that is obvious. The problem is you can't get cold with Carolina. Especially in the Dean Dome.

I agree..I have UNC as one of my #1 seeds but you do have to give Duke some credit for playing a hell of a game and hanging around very well with UNC. I like this Duke team better than the last years team because I think they play better D. this year..(IMO)

I think they are getting better with Elliot in the lineup. Pretty sure Lawson has 2 points. He could have 4, but I think it's 2. And he was the dominant factor in the first meeting.

I don't think we'll be an early exit this year. But hey, you never know.

Why not, with a road victory over the team with the best case for #1 overall, and what, 6 straight wins ?
And I'm still talking about the media...

And that is the game.

The refs have been pretty one sided throughout this game. I know people do not want to hear that from a Duke fan. But people tend to forget that Roy and UNC are the ACC darlings, not Duke.

If Duke beat UNC by 20+ today they would not be the favorites. Pretty easy to see that Duke couldn't compete with UConn or Pitt, or hell any team really that has a big guy down low.

Duke isn't winning anything of value with Singler as their team leader.

We know that. The media was all over us after beating Fla and SC on the road, now look at us...
I refuse to believe that there wouldn't have been crazy talk about "How far can Duke go?" Albeit unwarranted realistically, but it would have been a huge topic of conversation until the next big story came up...
Now, it's gonna be a UNC lovefest until they lose in the ACC tourney.
Same with Louisville.(A little different as far as media, though.)

Nice game...

Duke was overmatched but played the game exactly how they had to to give themselves a shot late...

I think experience was the difference as much as anything...everytime Duke started to get close UNC kept their composure and answered...

Of course...a substantial advantage down low and having Ty Lawson in the 2nd half didn't hurt either...but I think everyone knew that was going to happen

Officials whistling every breath near Lawson didnt hurt either.
