Under-Appreciated Artists?

Dj shadow and rjd2 might be under appreciated by the mainstream, but both have large cult followings who think theyre the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Breaking Benjamin, great music, known, but never get enough credit.

Cool story about Breaking Benjamin. I have a buddy that got tickets to their show in Atlanta a few years ago. The drove all the way down there and the cancelled the show like 10 minutes before it was supposed to start because the lead singer didn't feel like going on.

Everyone was pissed. The go outside and the band is signing crap for the fans. My buddy goes up to the band and asked them to sign his shirt. They lean over to sign it and he says, "Nah it's ok, this is my good shirt." and just walks off. haha

Too much of DJ Shadow's is thirtysomethings who remember Endtroducing. I went to the Identity Festival and they didn't even put him on the main stage when IMO he was easily the best act there.

Cowboy Mouth. Great band to see live when I was still doing that sort of thing.
I've started listening to a local public radio station that plays great music. They did a membership drive last month so I decided to do my part and contribute. Their gift to me for my contribution was two tickets to a Cowboy Mouth show last night in Dallas.

Those guys are a great live show. I wish I knew the name of the band that opened for them. They were very entertaining too.

I also saw a guy wearing a Tennessee hat in the crowd and we had a "Go Vols" moment.
