.no, Kentucky wasn't "outstanding"...they were terrible...

Holly just needs to learn to accept gifts when opposing coaches try to give her one.

It appeared that she had learned that when Melanie gave her a win last week at the most opportune time.

Melanie may not be so gracious in Nashville.

Supporters of this ugliness in the program will likely point out that Tennessee fell out of the top 25 in 1996 ,lost ten games and then won the NC..

Pat Summit ain't coaching THIS team...

Unfortunately unless Warlick takes it upon herself and resigns it's probably going to continue for at least a couple of more years. I just don't know if they would actually fire her or not. This is a sad state that this program has gotten to. I understand that there is more parity than before but there is no reason that Tennessee should ever be out of the top 5 programs in the country. There are good coaches out there who could come in and get this program back on track but the longer this nonsense goes on the harder it's going to be.

Comedy of errors, both physically and mentally, continue for this program. Lazy passes that show little consideration for valuing possession of the basketball, inability to hit point blank shots, failure to stop the go to players on the opposing team from dribble penetration...and the beat goes on. Nearly 7 minute stretches without scoring a single point, an offensive graveyard directed by a head coach who who has managed to "dumb down" the skills of a formerly feared scorer. Program is going nowhere until there is a change in Knoxville!

That doesn't sound like you support the team and coach.Fans like you are the reason Holly can't recruit, coach and players can't play.We have to find someone to blame this mess on, so we are choosing all these evil fans:devilsmoke:. You need to start lying and skirting the truth. We are just around the bend from being a great program. It just does not sound as if you are rolling with Holly. Shame on you for being truthful.:mf_surrender:

Players who turn the ball over 7 to 10 times per game should be benched regardless of their potential. Play the girls who want to play and I will get behind that team regardless of the win loss record. Just like the men's team the last 2 years, they don't have much talent but they appreciate being out there and give 100% effort.

I know Te'a was hotter than a $2 pistol but why was the ball in a freshman's hands with 2.5 seconds left in the game? Why didn't the idiot refs call a foul when our players were trying to make the winning layup with a few seconds left in the game? Kentucky should have been arrested for several assaults. I know that if we had played in the second half as we did in the first half none of this would have been an issue. However, no matter how incompetent we are, we still deserve to receive correct and justified calls.

Hey, I learned to blame everyone but coaches and players for over a decade over on The Summitt...where folks who tell the truth go to die!:eek:hmy: One of their prominent mods once said of folks who abandon their Pollyanna wagon..."social media boards are full of sociopaths and narcissists"...

It will all be over soon. I still think we can get to 18 and 11 probably win a game or two in the tourney and then couple in the NCAA for something like 22 and 13 for the season. This team was picked third in the nation behind UConn and SC so yes this bunch have not came close to fulfilling expectations and how can they turning the ball over 20 plus times a game and some terrible defense last night and in several of the losses and even the wins.

Holly, in her post game presser, said "Kentucky was outstanding"...lawd, lawd, wonder what game she was watching...went on to say that "we're in a tough stretch right now...blah, blah, blah..."going to Mississippi State, 9 o'clock game, getting home late"...whine, whine, whine...no wonder this team gets tagged by commentators for "lacking mental and physical toughness"...coach continues to make excuses for inexcusable performances...and now...Phil Fulmeresque..."I'll have to go back and watch tape"...no, Kentucky wasn't "outstanding"...they were terrible...but Holly's team was just a bit worse than terrible during long stretches of the game.
Kentucky is not a good team. They are over rated by a lot.Notre Dame or UCONN would beat both Kentucky and the Lady Vols by 50+ points and not break a sweat unless the UCONN coach took pity and called the Dogs /Huskies off.

Te'a don`t listen to Holly anyway Te`a is a street ball player. Also Graves get`s her shot block more then any post player i have ever seen. There is no way she should get stuff like she did last night. If she go up hard on that play she get`s the foul or make the shot. It`s time for Holly to play N.Moore more at the 4. let her play thur her mistakes.

This team may not be invited to the Dance this year. They are an awful team who are in danger of losing 15 + games this year.Obviously they have serious locker room problems because they have no semblance of chemistry ,cohesion, leadership,or coaching.....or if there is some coaching going on it is being disregarded as old ,outmoded both offensively and defensively.Fact is I think the old, outmoded offensive system of getting the ball inside at all costs has resulted in at least 50% of turnovers ....those are attributable to coaching and disruption of the offense because when good shooters hesitate when they are open and start passing the ball around the perimeter until they either throw the ball away or the shot clock expires then there are serious problems with development of some really good players and players that just might be rebelling against both the coaching system and against each other .There is no other explanation available this late in the season because there has been ample opportunity for this team to gel ....it is almost February for goodness sake.

I have to be honest I don't blame the players. It looks painfully obvious that the blame is solely on the shoulders of the head coach. We have talent but have no idea how to use it. Cooper can be a player, Russell needs more intensity, but when I see players hesitant to shoot and letting the shot clock expire where do we lay that blame? I am beginning to get a real dislike for HW, the coach that is ushering in a dismal new Era of Tn women's basketball. Tell her to take her pantsuit and leave.

Watch just about any coach during a game. When they pull a player off the court, there's a reason. When said player gets to the bench, The head coach stops them at his/her end of the bench and "SCHOOLS" them on the spot. Rick Barnes does this with just about every player every game. That is what coaches do. I haven't seen HW do anything besides pat them on the backside as they go by. I'm just sayin'.

Where is the teaching? Where are the fundamentals? Why the same problems game after game, year after year? It's a rhetorical question because the answer is obvious.

They are going backwards.

Graves was her best as a freshman.
Nared, Reynolds, and Diamond have all regressed.
I see very little improvements in Russell, Carter, or Alexa.

So at least seven of our current players have either shown no improvement or gotten worse over the last two years. These are not F students. Very little teaching is being done here.

Moore's problem is not her mistakes its her skill set and strength against good D1 players. She cannot compete at this level.

Personnel changes will not help as long as Holly Dooley is in charge. Fire Holly Dooley NOW!!

We have underachieving players because they have no leadership. There are a couple of players who try to be leaders like Carter, Cooper and Reynolds. Diamond isn't a leader, period. The coach isn't a leader. If you have ever watched the movie about WWII bomber squadrons called "Twelve O'clock High" the movie is about leadership. Holly is an example of the first bomber squadron leader- the "Hard Luck" General. His bomber squadron was just a victim of hard luck. The guy was an enabler. Holly is an enabler. She isn't a leader. She doesn't understand leadership. How do you work for Pat Summitt for 30 years and not understand leadership? Staggers the imagination.
