Understand what actually happened

It was the punt. The punt changed everything. We started off getting a stop. And we should have scored a TD. But that punt prevented us from
Having a slug fest.
Look at Tennessee's lack of success on 3rd down. Look at how many passes Tennessee had over 15 yards. Look at Tennessee's rushing yards. Or, if it makes you feel better aboutall that, blame the punt.

It isn’t Hooker’s inaccuracy that have me saying he had a bad game. He held the ball way too long way too often. Very uncharacteristic. If nobody is open he has to throw the ball away or start running. He had adequate time on most of the plays that he was sacked
His set up is so close to the line, by the time he wanted to run, there was no where to run. He was surrounded.

It wasn't just the punt, it was way too many mistakes. You have to be nearly perfect, Georgia capitalized on everything and controlled the clock. End of story. Congrats on the win.

Look, Kirby wasn't going to expose their offense to any turnovers in the 2nd half. It was raining and he knew that 3 touchdowns was enough to beat them. They could have scored much more if they wanted. Tennessee could not stop them in the 1st half, and Tennessee couldn't do anything against Georgia's defense all day. In fact Tennessee scored fewer point this year than last year against them. This doesn't mean Tennessee isn't a good team, the Vols weren't ready for Georgia, and it showed all over the field. Georgia did in fact show how to beat Tennessee's offense and they did it pretty efficiently, nobody can deny that. They have the players and talent to do it, a of of teams dont. You are right, Heupel will need to adjust his offense to overcome what Georgia did. SEC teams are not sleeping on Tennessee and all of them watched and learned what the Dawgs did.

Tennessee needs to win out, cannot sleep on Missouri or SC.
Kirby told you his game plan? Or is this the narrative that you've come up with to make our team seem like Little Sisters of the Poor?

What play set the tone for the rest of the game? You could almost feel the trajectory of the game change from that punt on. I get extrapolating information off limited information may make brain hurt—but try it.

Georgia stopped everything mid to deep. Hooker rarely had a wide-open receiver more than 7 yards downfield. To some, they will say "He held the ball" but had he thrown into coverage it would have been int after int. You have to look more downfield than counting to four in your head and saying it's all the QB. Smalls being out hurt. He would have been a huge help catching out of the backfield on those blitzes.
Fewer penalties, a more effective run game, and skill players beating one on one matchups are a must in the next matchup.

They scored 27 because that is all they needed to win. They could have scored much more if they needed to.
Bullcrap
I'm surprised you could type while having g kir y down your throat

That thug piece of $h!t coach would have put up 80 if he could
Especially given the scenario
Anyone saying he backed off is clues or just a Homer for them

Kirby wasn't going to let his offense turn the ball over in the heavy rain in the 2nd half. They played much more conservative.

Georgia showed the SEC the template for shutting Tennessee's offense down. Georgia could have scored as many as they wanted against our defense, Kirby went conservative in the 2nd half during the rain so they could maintain their lead and not turn the ball over.
Yeah but Georgia is probably the only team in the SEC that actually has the players capable of shutting the passing game down. Florida tried to to a lot of the same but they couldn't get enough pressure on HH.

Just because GA showed folks the template to stop the UT offense doesn’t mean other teams can do it. Not unless they have NFL caliber talent at every defensive position. Georgia has that. Nobody else does. Not even Alabama this year. LSU proved that again on Saturday.

Georgia is a team that has been built with 4 and 5 star players for 7 years now, and Kirby smart is a good defensive coach. You are right, they had the talent and coaching to shut TN down, very few teams do.

Yep. Two out of fourteen on 3rd down won’t cut it against anybody and especially against a team as talented as Georgia.

You are right, execution and having the talent at every position is crucial to stop them, which Ga has. Heupel needs to continue to morph his offense to keep other DCs confused, which I think he will.

I look at it as a 2 game season. They're beating the brakes off Candy in Nashville.

The rest of CFB do not have the talent that Georgia does on defense my friend.

I could probably just as easily suggest Georgia holding the Vols to a field goal following the early UGA fumble set the tone of the game.

I think Heupel may end up having to tweak his offense somewhat when he gets into these types of games. A powerback that can get a few tough yards could help. It all started with the push up the middle. That's how you slow this offense.
