Watching football all weekend and paying attention to the throws from other qb's you notice there are lots of missed and overthrown during a game. Because of the way he started in 20 everyone makes a big deal. I watched the Pitt game from last year, not just the hilights and Hooker overthrew an open reciever the first series. The difference between Hooker that game and the Bama game is drastic. Milton has an overthrow though and it's overthrow Joe. Pay attention to the other qb's. They all throw bad passes.

I noticed that too. We’ll hear it every week. It’s hard for people to get past first impressions.

Spot on, Folks who are critical of His performance should go back and watch Hendon v Pitt. That Hendon v the one who finished the season ?!.....two different QBs.

I noticed in the UVA game that they played their defensive backs deep which allowed us to average 10 yards a run. We did not get that with Hooker. Our fans are just plan ignorant sometimes. Running the ball and hitting the short passes as Milton did will allow us to control the clock better and keep
our defense off the field. And if the defense wants to pull up Joe showed that he can put the ball on the money, if our receivers would just catch it.

Once he settled in Saturday he was fine. He will be fine the rest of the way. It’s not a matter of him playing tight when the game is close, offense needs to be in rhythm. Didn’t really get in a rhythm until the 2nd quarter.

That's OK. Less spotlight, less pressure. I think Milton did well. I also think he needs more playing time. He does NOT need people telling him how great he is. He's got to keep the motivation.

Joe did OK but the Offense needs to get insync before we play Florida. They will be the first team play with comparable or better talent and we play at their place.

We need to cut down on penalties. Im looking for no pre snap offensive penalties against Austin Peay. Unforced errors can't putting Milton behind the sticks in the swamp.

He is scrutinized because everyone's buying into this tired narrative that he has failed at multiple stops.

The reality is, he only had a handful of starts at Michigan and only three at Tennessee before he got Wally Pipped by one the most prolific QBs we've ever had. This not a JG type situation or even a Graham Mertz where he has sucked all season long for multiple seasons.

The more fans talk about it or just complain about others complaining about it the more angst it creates.

He did his job. Let the defense get out of prevent with their safeties and he'll throw the bomb 80 yards.

In the most dangerous offenses, not only do they fear being chopped up with the pass but that the running game is hard to stop. Pick your poison opponent.

He totally redeemed himself for any bad throws during the game, when he grabbed that UVA player by his face and threw him on his backside.. Honestly, how many times have you ever seen a QB do that?.. 🤣😂🤣

It was awesome...

I don’t think they could all fit in a sink…lol jk but I do think they will get in sync it’s just the first game. Hooker was throwing high the first couple games last year and the offense stalled a lot in the beginning of the Pitt game but by Florida he was settled in and throwing it extremely well and the rest of the team settled in as well. So I think we could see the same thing happen this year.

I watched a lot of football yesterday and only saw one QB who played better than Milton. That being said, I still think he needs to play better for us to win the East. I think he can and I think he will

Exactly.. he did really well for a first game and this coaching staff delivers in terms of the team progression throughout the season, I saw a lot to be excited about
