ORANGE PANTS ARE NOT GARBAGE!!! So-called Tennessee fans who want to minimize orange as part of our color scheme and stridently advocate black in lieu of it, well that is a matter open to debate.

While I personally like the White with Orange stripe pants better (See above poster Avi), The orange pants looked slick today.

EDIT: and on the other hand, having a Black, Orange, and White Uni would look sleek too.

I like the orange pants with white jerseys (away) but not too fond of orange on orange for home. Didn't look BAD though, just like the traditional look better

I like the orange pants, and bleed orange period. But I rather liked the black jerseys with orange pants in '09 for Halloween, and would not mind seeing some black mixed with the orange on occassion. Hell, we're currently undefeated in the black jerseys so I would say let's do it until we lose. :rock2:

Due to extensive research done by the University of Tennessee, diamond has been confirmed as the hardest metal known to man. The research is as follows. Pocket-protected scientists built a wall of iron and crashed a diamond car into it at 400 miles per hour, and the car was unharmed. They then built a wall out of diamond and crashed a car made of iron moving at 400 miles an hour into the wall, and the wall came out fine. They then crashed a diamond car made of 400 miles per hour into a wall, and there were no survivors. They crashed 400 miles per hour into a diamond traveling at iron car. Western New York was powerless for hours. They rammed a wall of metal into a 400 mile per hour made of diamond, and the resulting explosion shifted the earth's orbit 400 million miles away from the sun, saving the earth from a meteor the size of a small Washington suburb that was hurtling towards mid-western Prussia at 400 billion miles per hour. They shot a diamond made of iron at a car moving at 400 walls per hour, and as a result caused two wayward airplanes to lose track of their bearings, and make a fatal crash with two buildings in downtown New York. They spun 400 miles at diamond into iron per wall. The results were inconclusive. Finally, they placed 400 diamonds per hour in front of a car made of wall traveling at miles per iron, and the result proved without a doubt that diamonds were the hardest metal of all time, if not just the hardest metal known to man.

I will admit that the combination of black jerseys (with orange and white trim) and orange pants (with white stripes) looked better than I had anticipated. There has, however, been a lot of discussion within the uniform thread over the years advocating far more extensive use of black and less prominent emphasis on Tennessee orange, something that I find unfathomable frankly, given the fact that, in my biased opinion, we already have the prettiest color combination in all of college football. The proverbial unwashed masses who have not learned to properly appreciate Tennessee orange are, let's not mince words, unenlightened.

Its not that long. Only until 2015 and hope to hell we go in a different direction.

Somebody would have to come up with as much money as adidas offers.

Since Nike only pays one school as much as adidas pays us, the only way we're going to change is if adidas cancels our deal. And that's not going to happen.

Does it get old explaining the same thing over and over again?

I was about to ask the same thing. In spite of DP explaining this probably close to 100 times, people still talk about the Adidas deal like its some lead anchor around our neck that can be shed as soon as the deal expires. That's just not the case.

Let me get this right a UT fan that's complaining about too much orange on the jerseys. Go home and buy some more orange. I love the orange on orange! The more orange the better.

LOL at some of you guys. My problem is that orange is definitely one color that you can have "too much" of when you wear it. If I wore orange shirt and pants out in public I'd look... not too pretty. Truth of the matter is, all black is the only color I like. All red looks dumb, etc.
