Uniform/Helmet/Shoe design thread (merged)

If these people are so concerned with switching to Nike then why don't they write a check to the athletic department to make up the difference? Then it would be budget neutral. But I would not hold my breath for that to happen.

How much more apparel would the fans have to buy to make up for that big fat Adidas check?

I like the all orange. Do think it looked better in the 80's when it wasn't as dark. But does look better now than it did a few years ago when the pants were shiny.

Due to extensive research done by the University of Tennessee, diamond has been confirmed as the hardest metal known to man. The research is as follows. Pocket-protected scientists built a wall of iron and crashed a diamond car into it at 400 miles per hour, and the car was unharmed. They then built a wall out of diamond and crashed a car made of iron moving at 400 miles an hour into the wall, and the wall came out fine. They then crashed a diamond car made of 400 miles per hour into a wall, and there were no survivors. They crashed 400 miles per hour into a diamond traveling at iron car. Western New York was powerless for hours. They rammed a wall of metal into a 400 mile per hour made of diamond, and the resulting explosion shifted the earth's orbit 400 million miles away from the sun, saving the earth from a meteor the size of a small Washington suburb that was hurtling towards mid-western Prussia at 400 billion miles per hour. They shot a diamond made of iron at a car moving at 400 walls per hour, and as a result caused two wayward airplanes to lose track of their bearings, and make a fatal crash with two buildings in downtown New York. They spun 400 miles at diamond into iron per wall. The results were inconclusive. Finally, they placed 400 diamonds per hour in front of a car made of wall traveling at miles per iron, and the result proved without a doubt that diamonds were the hardest metal of all time, if not just the hardest metal known to man.

4chan is leaking...

but anyway, The orange on orange uniforms just look bad, White pants all the way. However I will still be wearing my orange pants on gameday. Dooley may have been a bad coach, but the guy had style.

I liked the day glow/black/silver unis they wore in the NC game though.

Seeing as how UT makes about 2.5% of each piece of apparel sold, they would have to sell more UT gear than about half of the NFL teams combined every year to make up the million dollar difference per year between the last Nike offer and our current adidas deal.

Not arguing, but lets not act like he made that up or was the first to do it

Hopefully in a year or 2 when the contract comes up Nike or UA offer us equal to or more. Have become a huge Underarmour fan the last year or so, they have some great stuff.

You can hope, but Nike does not pay even some of their top schools what adidas pays us, so that's extremely doubtful

I like the orange pants with white jerseys (away) but not too fond of orange on orange for home. Didn't look BAD though, just like the traditional look better

Some of us are old enough to remember when orange on orange WAS the traditional look.

You lost me here.

My preference is the White on white with orange numbers and orange striping. However, the black jerseys did look good. The white helmets kinda mucked it up though. Need black carbon fiber helmets with orange Power T's.

The orange pants with the white (away) jersey's are a great match.

It's the orange and white shoes with orange and white socks that need to be replaced...IMO.

Back to the traditional black socks and shoes.
