Unsung heroes of 2022

I think you missed a few. Doneiko Slaughter, Dylan Sampson, Princeton Fant, Juwan Mitchell, the freshman DL's (peirce, herring, west) and of course when healthy the 2 guys at LT. A lot of folks stepped up. I think the most unsung Hero this year was Fant though. He did some stuff that changed the game and made people remember what an Hback is. The fullback position is dead in football as a position to make a career in but Hback is its replacement.

I hate to be the one contrary.

Slaughter and Mitchell played awful late in the season. Herring, Pearce, and West were pleasant surprises and unlikely contributors, but not sure id call them unsung heros. Fant was versatile and proved to be a weapon, but he had several cringeworthy drops. I'll still give you Fant though because he played an important role in the offense.

Our fans were the most unsung -- surely we set the record for most times in one season singing Rocky Top!

Ramel Keyton really stands out to me. Dude stepped up and made some clutch catches.

The versatility of Princeton Fant was just a pleasure to watch as well.

The biggest thing is, I’m from Tennessee. Even through all the ups and downs, Tennessee has always been a place I want to call home. It’s definitely been hard at times, but it’s great now to finally see those hard days pay off. It’s been very rewarding, and looking back on it makes you very thankful that you stuck around. I’m just very blessed with all the opportunities that I’ve been provided with. Just being able to stick it out, I think it’s really paid off. You’re starting to see that on the field now.

Hyatt is the one that stepped up for Tillman if Hyatt would have been the man all year he would have had more yards and touchdowns.
