Shocking. It wouldn't surprise me if they find a whole cemetery full of skeletons in Pearl's closet.

No one knows at this point just a lot of speculation. I would wait and see what the NCAA uncovers. Either they will accept the self imposed sanctions or they will seek more. I'm afraid if Pearl leaves or get's fired, it will be the end of Tennessee men's basketball relevance.

I doubt he's on suicide watch or anything. I sincerely doubt they are going to find anything else. If there was other stuff coming, and trust me, the UT Ad would know a hell of a lot more than some blue-sky talk show, they would not have self imposed penalties. They did that as a means to close the book on this and move on. And you don't do that with other stuff coming. It doesn't make sense. Just like this stupid thread.

i just hope we don't get the death penalty whatever they are.

no one will get death penalty again... I would be surprised if enough found to give us what USC got. won't be that bad.

might cost some folks jobs. might have loss of ships. might have some post season bans. but won't be as bad as USC penalties.. certainly no death penalty

there is more to come. Don't know how severe it gets, but I'm with you, there is more.

Because we were pretty much mediocre before CBP got here. Wade Houston, Kevin O'Neill, Jerry Green, Buzz Peterson, all were mediocre except for Green but IMO he wasnt the recruiter that BP is. Also none of those coaches brought the kind of excitment that CBP has, making UT BB relevant in Knoxville and on the national stage. We were lucky to be on TV for the SEC game of the week, much less be the main game on ESPN. The UT BB coaching job has been open many times since the late 80's and we never filled the position with a big name, CBP wasnt even a big name when he took the job. IF CBP is canned, I just dont see a big name coming in and keeping us relevant. JMO

I don't expect more. Pearl lying to the NCAA is about as bad as it can get. No way Hamilton calls the press conference if he is aware that more violations are an issue.

As BPV and others have mentioned, to Pearl's credit he has raised the profile of this job. The arena is one of the best in the nation, the practice facility is great and the fans have shown we can consistently be top 5 in attendance.

This simply isn't the same job it was 10 years ago.

I just realised I misread your question, of course Im putting Green ahead of KO as a coach. KO is a glorified asst. at best! He hasnt done jack in the NBA or college.

That's wrong on so many levels.
