To be honest with you I could give two s**** about Jerry Green, was just saying that our past few coaches dont come close to CBP. Do I think JG is a better coach than KO, yea thats JMO but I could care less about either one of them!!

Comparing apples to oranges here. Completely different situation on all three coaches.

Acting as if Pearl is irreplaceable is nonsense.

CBP is irreplaceable if you compare him to UT mens coaches the past 2 decades. I will say our program and facilities are in much better shape now than in the past so maybe that will help bring in a good coach if CBP gets fired, but just going by past history I dont see it happening.

this makes no sense to me. Sure, he's better than we've had in years, irreplaceable is about the options going forward rather than the lack of options going backward.

He's gonna be here, but he has a couple of assistants that might not when it's over.

For the money we are willing to pay, we don't have to rehire any former coaches.

And like I said, I could care less about JG or KO, just dont see where allm the KO love is coming from. His record with us was worse than his career numbers...

Kevin O'Neill at Tennessee: 36-47 OVERALL 14-24 SEC

Just look at the coaches that were hired though. Outside of KO, none of them had any business at a major program. It doesn't mean UT is a bad job, it means the coaches were bad at the job.

As hat pointed out none of them have gone on to have success at other programs, so UT wasn't the problem it was the person in charge.

A job being bad and the person running the program being bad at his job are two different things.

UT, in large part to Pearl, is not considered a bad job anymore.

Look at what he took over from Houston. Then look at the players Green won with.

which I agree with. Add the fact that the UTAD finally decided to spend money on bball and UT is moving up the list

Add to that, that we are actually in a good location for recruiting. Tenn actually produces some really good basketball players and Atlanta is pretty close as well.

All the radio show guys are making more out of this because IT'S THEIR JOB !!!!!

If you don't make waves with your radio show, you get left tied to the dock...the best way to make waves, when there is none, is to splash your own oars...this makes me so mad!!!

The other reason everyone keeps saying there is more to the situation is because in the only scenario people have to compare it to (Kelvin Sampson at IU) there was more...because Sampson lied multiple times and got caught multiple times...I DO NOT BELIEVE BRUCE HAS LIED MULTIPLE TIMES...I think he has come clean and kept the bodies from piling up so to speak...sorry to ramble...

I agree. Most people who are willing to lie only do it one time. Otherwise, you can count on every thing they say to be the absolute truth, especially now that he has learned that you tell the truth all the time, not just when it is convenient. That's a good lesson for a man near 50 years of age.

If Jerry Green was a better coach than Kevin ONeill, UT would have at least one Final Four banner hanging in TBA

Exactly! KO built the talent level back up, but never got to coach the talent. So, he was the right coach at the right time. The question is if he could have coached the talented players that he recruited. I say, yes, but we will never know.

It may have been someone posting it here but I read or heard where KO left because he hated Dickey.
