I doubt he's on suicide watch or anything. I sincerely doubt they are going to find anything else. If there was other stuff coming, and trust me, the UT Ad would know a hell of a lot more than some blue-sky talk show, they would not have self imposed penalties. They did that as a means to close the book on this and move on. And you don't do that with other stuff coming. It doesn't make sense. Just like this stupid thread.

FAIL

Interesting that you think "the book was closed" on the same day as the 'AA letter arrived.

That book may be more likely to take flight than be closed.

Green won with O'Neil's talent and then left the program. Who knows what type of job he would have done without OK'Neil recruits.

For the money we are willing to pay, we don't have to rehire any former coaches.

Hamilton's last couple of searches haven't filled me with confidence that we would get anyone but a gamble.

Sources: Ex-recruit Craft at center of NCAA's Tennessee probe - NCAA Division I Mens Basketball - CBSSports.com
Sources told CBSSports.com that Craft -- along with fellow Class of 2010 prospect Josh Selby, who also was committed to Tennessee at the time, and perhaps another recruit -- visited Pearl's home during an unofficial visit to Tennessee later that same year, which is a violation of NCAA rules because high school juniors aren't allowed to engage college coaches away from campus. Pearl denied that Craft and Selby ever had been to his home when NCAA assistant director of enforcement Kristen Matha initially asked. The problem with that approach was that the NCAA, according to sources, already had in its possession a picture of Pearl and Craft that was snapped inside Pearl's home, which led to the line of questioning in the first place. It's unclear who took the picture or how the NCAA obtained it.

I have a bad feeling we will not only have a new coach before the season starts but will miss the big dance this year but not due to the selection committee.

Clearly this can't be true. Mr. Hypothetical has repeatedly said that the only reason that the NCAA knew that Pearl had lied to them was because Pearl, in all his virtue, later told the NCAA that he had lied to them. Otherwise, the NCAA would have never known about it.
the ncaa should sanction itself for assuming ..

Just look at the coaches that were hired though. Outside of KO, none of them had any business at a major program. It doesn't mean UT is a bad job, it means the coaches were bad at the job.

As hat pointed out none of them have gone on to have success at other programs, so UT wasn't the problem it was the person in charge.

A job being bad and the person running the program being bad at his job are two different things.

UT, in large part to Pearl, is not considered a bad job anymore.
:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol: Apparently you don't remember that even small college coaches turned us down when they could double or triple their pay.:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

Kevin O'Neil was a total failure at UT. Why he gets credit for anything other than sucking is beyond me.
