Why should he?

It's common knowledge about his brain cyst and recent chest pains. The only good that would come from him elaborating on his health would be for rival coaches to play the sound byte for potential recruits.

But he is leaving. I mean he will take a leave of absence. Nevermind, he will be coaching next season, you're right.

LOL this couldn't get any better for everybody except Florida. NOW it's just a leave of absence. Urban IMO is mentally unbalanced and Foley is just as whacky for going along with something like this. Lots of kids are gonna want to sign up for playing for Urban who may or may not come back some day. This is all about avoiding the coming beat downs the next two years being attached to Urban Meyer.

I will say this, he's taking his breakup with Tebow a little harder than anyone thought. Maybe Foley is doing the right thing giving him a couple of years to get over their breakup.

If it's common knowledge what's the problem with going on record regarding the incidents of the last twenty four hours? Rival coaches will have more ammunition because of his refusal to answer the questions than if he put it all on the table.

this. before this year, i would think a claim like this is nonsense... but not after his barrage of excuses this season (including excuses for not winning by more.. what a joke)

Meyer goes from complete resignation, to a leave of absence, to stating that he will coach next year... what the hell

Just watched the presser. There will be a lot of recruit's families who will be impressed by this as Stamper and Tebow talked a lot about how they know he loves them--he is another Dad for the players and that sells well in the living room.

I don't see them losing anyone--and it might help
