Would that be true if he graduated and was a grad transfer?

I wasn't sure about this, but looked into it and seems that the portal deadline applies for grad transfers as well:

"A student-athlete who graduates with remaining athletics eligibility may be eligible as a full-time postgraduate student at another Division I school provided they meet the one-time exception criteria, including providing a written request to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal to their current school by July 1, 2021."

Yeah, but remember the issue with the Mays football kid who transferred in from Georgia and was given an exemption and immediate eligibility because it was maintained the school done him wrong? Same thing might apply here. Hey, I know it's a stretch, but a guy can dream.

The way Rocker with Vandy and Kopps with Arkansas were used as the season went along made me so mad, even as a Vol fan. It goes beyond fandom at that point, I hated seeing young men get their arms worn out by head coaches desperate for wins.

Really hope those two end up doing well professionally, but I don't know how they still have their arms intact with the way they were driven into the ground in the last month or so of the season.

Several first rounders still not close on terms. Signing day is quickly approaching.
Far as I can tell, 4 1st rounders remain unsigned.

Jordan Lawlar
Kumar Rocker
Brady House
Kahlil Watson

Lawlar and Rocker both need to hurry up and sign. Lawlar is a Vandy commit, and Rocker would of course be returning to Vandy if he didn't sign.

Mets making deals...wonder if they are clearing up money for Rocker? Read where he will not need surgery

It’s not really clearing up for Rocker. They have an allotted pool of money for the first 10 rounds. That is all the money they can use. Rocker has an injury and they may not think he is worth the risk when they can just get another pick next year.

Read an article where other pro scouts were chastising the Mets for not taking like a high school prospect late so they could invest the 6 million...apparently they lose it if they don't sign him

Well, at least we don’t have to worry about Lawlar

Best wishes to Brady. Seems like the Nats are in rebuild mode after yesterday's blockbuster trade with the Dodgers.

Wouldn't call that good news. Good news would be he decided he wanted to play for the Vols. This Jon Heyman guy needs to reassess his priorities.

Would’ve been over the moon if he decided to play for the Vols instead of taking the money and playing for the Nats. However, he said when he was drafted that he would sign with the Nats. As @TheMookieMonster said, if the Vols keep winning, it may be easier for Coach V to convince these elite signees to turn down the big money and play for the Vols. Getting Burns to campus was big and someone to build around.
