(Updated 8/2/2022) 2022 MLB Draft and Roster Management Discussion Thread

Personal update: We got some of my mom's test results back today and, unfortunately, things do not look good. Surgery is probably on the horizon and we are scheduling meetings with doctors to figure out the path moving forward. It's been pretty stressful for my family. Please continue to send good thoughts / prayers / good vibes our way. If I'm scarce here over the next few weeks, that is the reason. Thanks!
May God Bless you and your Mom.

Do we think Burke starts at 1st now with no Crawford? Or is he going to be DH?

Tears is a first baseman, but I think they like him in the OF because of his arm. I don't know who else. It would be nice to have a right hand hitting first baseman. I don't know why Steenstra can't play that position.

Interested to see if Sewell signs a FA deal or comes back. He’s better than some guys who were drafted. Maybe coming back gets him drafted next year.

Steenstra is gone. Moved on with life I’m told.

Good luck to him. Very good player, but my lasting memories of him will be pinch running for Pav at the end of the Wright State walk-off game and (long story when I started to type it out, so I’ll just say…) being awesome to my 3-year-old after a game earlier this year.

All the projections over lineups are very interesting. There’s always a couple of surprises that we had no idea were coming. Regardless, we do have a wealth of pieces to choose from, even with the losses. It all starts with the stable of pitching starters at our disposal, and that alone elevates Tennessee as an upper echelon contender. I think we will be pretty happy about the results we get offensively.
