Updated AP Poll - moved to #22

The absolute best thing that could happen next week is for Kentucky, A&M and Missouri to win. That means that Georgia lost, Bama lost, and that we get likely a ranked A&M team, then a ranked Bama team (because they'll stay in the top 25 with 2 losses), and then a ranked Kentucky team.

Unfortunately only wins against teams with little numbers by their name seem to matter.

Tells you how much they think of South Carolina. Missouri jumps us by beating Vanderbilt by a smaller margin.
I think it’s more that both Kentucky and Missouri are 5-0 at this point. Kentucky blew out Florida (who beat Tennessee in a game UT performed really poorly in) and Missouri also has a bit of a better win than UT does (Kansas State was ranked when Missouri beat them, and they’re still sitting right outside the rankings as a one loss team).

How do you beat the crap out of a conference team and drop, regardless if they are ranked or not??? At worse we should have stayed put
They’re both 5-0. We’re getting to the point in the year where records are starting to matter a bit more toward rankings.

Not helping either: Kentucky blew out Florida (who beat Tennessee in a game UT performed really poorly in) and Missouri also is a bit better in the better wins department than UT (Kansas State was ranked 15th when Missouri beat them, and they’re still sitting right outside the rankings as a one loss team).

Thus far our resume (to use a basketball term) isn't exactly overwhelming.

But Missouri beat vandy....wow!
They’re also 5-0 and beat a ranked team when they played them (Kansas State, who’s currently sitting right outside the rankings at 4-1). Unfortunately - and I hate to say it - Tennessee has a loss and their best win is either South Carolina or…UTSA?

Imo, they do go by win/loss record more than who you beat or who you lose to. We take care of business and beat Ky, and Mo. we will move ahead of them.
