63-61 UNC over App State - FINAL. Craziest 4th quarter I’ve ever seen in a football game. App State scored 40 points in the 4th quarter alone, and only lost because they failed to convert on two different 2-point conversion attempts.

That UNC game wasn’t even close to being decided when you made this post. App scored 3 TD’s in the final 4 minutes and 2 TD’s in the final 31 seconds of the game. The game would have gone into overtime if App had converted on either of two 2-point conversion attempts In the final 31 seconds of the game.

UNC returned an onside kick for a TD with 29 seconds left in the game. Had that showboat simply downed the ball, the game would have been over. They would have downed the ball and run out the clock. Instead, they had to kick off to App State with 29 seconds left. App returned it to the UNC 48, and then they scored a TD 2 pass plays later, allowing them to try to tie the game with a 2 point coversion with 9 seconds left in the game.

I know this is an upset thread but why would Florida State and Miami schedule Duquesne and Bethune?

UTSA takes Houston to OT.

I'm pretty impressed by UTSA's crowd and support considering the football program is only 11 years old.

Anytime State or UNC comes to Greenville they treat it like it’s their Super Bowl. Bizarre to me that both State and Carolina are away at ECU and App this weekend. Those are dangerous games. I can’t figure why either school would agree to go to an OOC opponent like that.

I was nervous towards the end. I remember when Ficklen Stadium was nothing but bleachers on both sides. Clarence Stasavich ran a single wing offense & whooped many a team over there in the early 60's

TD and a 2 point conversion makes it 28-21 GS.

Edit: Like 2 minutes late 28-28.
