Urban Meyer at it again

So - what you're saying is... ever since Meyer got there he went to all of his players' teachers and got them to pass them and give them good grades/take it easy on them in the process to bump up their GPAs and graduation rates so he could use that as a recruiting tool. Nice.
I don't see how you could look at it any other way.

it's certainly not a good argument for the rigors of a UF education.

and yet, somehow the fine folks at the princeton review rank us well ahead of UT in academics year after year...

so. That hardly warrants a moon pie.

Is that what UM is touting? "We're an academic powerhouse relative to UTK?" It's genius.

There is the possibility that the university is devoting some good tutors to the effort. I propose that since none of us knows we not openly speculate.

Not saying much, I'd agree.

I'm sure the Physics majors on UF's team came just for that

from what I understand we (UF) don't need to tout it, we already run the show in football. but if fans of schools such as UM want to make that reach, I won't fault them (as long as they went there). it is what college is about after all.
ex- I would take a michigan education over an osu one even given recent history on the football field. speaking strictly from a student/alumn pov, ofcourse. granted the bashing would suck, but the income difference would more than make up for it.

There is no way this guy should be allowed to beat the VolNation this year. I dont care how many plaques, trophies or stadiums they put up in his honor...

At least we can all agree that the Dawgs are the biggest idiots in the SEC!

I think you're getting your SEC cheating scandals confused - an understandable confusion.

just like percy never smoking weed while he was there, and just like Moss getting to play against usc after failing a drug test. i think he had to sit out for wyoming st or something.

In our situation, academics should probably take a backseat for some bowl wins and championships. CLK knows what he's doing.
