The sad thing is, he’ll land back on his feet as a talking head on Fox or NBC and everyone will pretend he’s not a complete waste of air.
I really don’t think he will. He had a little negative publicity at Ohio state but nothing like what just happened to him. He made a mockery of his entire legacy and just had one of the most unsuccessful tenures win nfl history. He’s done as a prime time name.
You should be correct. But I think some desperate big name program will hire him in a few years.
Not FSU fans................No chance they will ever have him there.I’m sure some desperate P5 team would hire him in for 2023 or 2024 after some of the hoopla dies around him. He is one of the 15 best college coaches ever. But that is not gonna be a fun press conference to start.
I’m sure a ton of Florida State and Texas fans are starting Urban threads right now though lol
I highly doubt that.............I've been wrong before, but I don't see it.
At least based on what my friends in Tallahassee say
The fans and players love Norvell (yesterday's loss hurt.) He is trying to change the culture left behind from Jimbo and Slick Willie.Norvell will get a chance at making an impact and the man can coach as seen by his time in Memphis. They just pulled in a decent recruiting class so, you could be right.
He's not had good seasons at FSU yet, but then again, that program was in the shambles when he took over and I don't count 2020 against anyone with the Covid protocols and whatnot. However, if given the chance between an Urban Meyer and a Mike Norvell with a losing record, the choice is easy most of the time.
Anyway, Urban can sit for a year, run his mouth on Fox or ESPN and wait for a bigger school to come open next year. I'd be more worried about a program with a decent shot at being great finally getting tired of being a homecoming team and putting out the cash to make a splash hire like Nebraska or Maryland or even a Colorado if they got serious about athletics.

His class is surprisingly solid, even with the losses yesterday. The loss of Hunter wasn't his fault.
Absolutely.............It was a behind the scenes deal that I'm not sure any school would have known about, or even matched.Nobody predicted the Hunter flip lol at least not to... Jackson State? I mean, seriously? Nobody had that on the radar.
