Urban Meyer fired

Gruden or Meyer. Who is more toxic at this point?

Most of the talking heads were saying Gruden will never coach again after the emails came out. But at least he wasn’t assaulting players. I just don’t see how Meyer lands a power 5 coaching job after this and if he does; there is no argument to be had for blacklisting Hugh Freeze.

Freeze is a saint compared to these guys.

Gruden is done. Whose going to hire someone using offensive racial tropes to lead a team 90% black? No one with a brain. Meyer is probably done just bc of how much is out there about him. But it wouldn't shock me if a Liberty type came calling.

Maybe Baylor if Aranda gets poached. He'd fit right in there.

Somewhere out there in Meta Land, Lane Kiffin is trying to think of something clever to post.

Early on, I had a feeling that urban is scum. Way too many arrests during his time in swamp

I never really thought he was a bad guy but his smug attitude on the sidelines always annoyed me. With the latest news, he now just annoys me period. Good riddance.

Too bad for him- the Jags owner really destroyed his chance to get a major job at a large school. If he had been fired a month ago, then he could have been hired by Notre Dame or USC.
ND isn't hiring him with his public moral lapses.

They kept Brian Kelly employed, and he killed a Notre Dame student.
Great point, but the moral hangups that people have, especially people who outwardly claim to be virtuous people, are funny sometimes. They get really hung up on minor stuff and give passes for things that seem much worse. Particularly in a case where you can't directly tie a person to something bad that occurred.

Remember when Jerry Falwell Jr. put that pic on his Instagram then quickly deleted it? Apparently the moral consternation at Liberty was more around what the dark liquid in his cup was rather than the fact he had his pants unzipped with a woman who wasn't his wife, and her pants were unzipped too.

I think he has finally revealed enough of himself that he will be forced to disappear from the spotlight for a while. I don't even think the talking head shows will hire him for a while.

Physical abuse, verbal abuse, covering up crimes, faking health issues, sexual misconduct... He's run the gauntlet.
Yet, what was his last job at OSU ... Ethics and Values mentor, or something like that?

Dude is done.

He bailed out the SEC whenever Saban starting beating him and then left Ohio St cause of “health issues”.

Now, his own players didn’t even like him in Jacksonville.

He’s a good college coach but when it’s all said & done, he’ll be remembered nothing more than a coward.

Unnamed Head Coach On Urban Meyer: ‘Everyone Hates That Motherf**ker’ (msn.com)

Well, his stunning implosion led to an old story told by Brett McMurphy resurfacing. During a podcast, McMurphy talked about how he once asked a bunch of coaches who they’d want to be next to in a fight. One coach said he’d want to be next to the former Ohio State coach, and his reason why is hilarious.

“The coach told me ‘because everyone hates that motherf**ker and they would be punching him in the face so much, nobody would lay a hand on me,'” McMurphy said when telling the story about the unnamed coach.

Yep that one and these other jobs have been in the window of time when he was being covered up for and allowed to act the way he has. What I'm saying is the dam has now broken, and there will be no more of those. The cost for those enabling it will be too high now. They'll continue to coddle Dan Mullen and pay for his antics next. Regular people are fuel for greed and ambition, so they will just find more consumables and use them up until the next fire burns out.

Some of y'all saying he'll never coach again because of the grinding incident or the fact he's a horrible person to work for are really fooling yourselves...

It's not like colleges haven't covered up systemic rape and sexual assault problems for athletics (several of them actually) which involved a head coach knowing about it.

Or child molesting (a couple of them)

Or serious lapses in judgment (looking at Bobby P over this one)

If you honestly think "ethics and morals" plays that significant a part in the multimillion dollar business that college athletics is and will override the desire to win, you're fooling yourselves.

Don't forget to add grabbing the blonde chick's buttockal area
His apology was saying he shouldn't have been there, he should have left.
No accountability...ever

NFL statement on leaving...had no ownership. Some Jacksonville patronizing lead in to say "I'm sorry WE didn't get it done"
wtf
Dude oozes pathology...his CFB record be damned.
