I, along with every other Vol fan, do not particularly have a liking for the University of Florida football team.

However, this is low. Urban Meyer is a scumbag who ran away from the SEC with his tail between his legs because he didn't want to deal with the pressure of the conference... err, I mean health issues. He had health issues that magically resolved themselves in Ohio. Okay.

This doesn't even surprise me. I normally reserve critical comments for only the upper echelon of trash in sports, but Urban makes the list. Not only is he an unethical coach and a liar, but also a chicken.

Just read the article. And while I would like to partake in a hearty laugh at Florida and their jort wearing fanbase, I can't. Urban Meyer is a snake oil salesman. Always has been, always will be. He's one of those guys that feels he is above the game. And I believe when Bama rose to prominence, he knew he would have a hard time ever winning the SEC with Saban in power. I think this is the real reason he bolted. He realized he wouldn't be able to whip out a Tim Tebow every year to superstar his team to an SEC Title much less a championship. Now with the Hernandez news and more evidence of him winning at all cost by bringing in thugs and ratting his former team out, Urban Meyer has officially became the 2nd biggest snake in all the land behind Kiffy and Orgeron.

its my understanding that Kiffin was well liked by his coworkers. The only people that dont like him are those on message boards

Coaches that cheat should be turned in regardless of who turns them in. The bump rules needs to be more clearly defined as its nearly impossible to prove guilt, I would like a 30second limit put on unavoidable "greetings".

Is the NCAA going to hire thousands of new employees to follow coaches around with stopwatches?

That would be the job of those turning them in. Technology makes that pretty easy. You have a camera on your phone?

So you think it's a good idea for the NCAA to ask for the assitance of bystanders in reporting violations? I'm sure rival staff and fans won't go bat**** crazy with that.

No I think if a coach is turning another in its their job to prove the infraction took place.

So you think coaches shouldn't turn other coaches in ever??

Or turning them in without proof is ok??

No. Self-policing amongst the coaching fraternity is fine.

Telling coaches they should whip out their cell phones and tape their rivals is begging for disaster.

I understand your point and agree in nearly ever case but not in terms of the bump rule. A coach that doesn't cut off contact after a reasonable time is clearly gaining a recruiting advantage with that recruit IMO. In that case the offending party deserves no protection.

I think you grossly overestimate the advantage gained by bump rule violations.
