"He cusses me out in the game all the time. He's talking crazy... He told me, 'I'm your daddy. You're playing against your baby daddy."'

I see nothing in your post that show how Uros embarrassed himself. Please explain to me what was embarrassing.

I’d really like to see this kid shut his mouth and focus on his game. He might be good if he spent half as much time doing that as he does talking trash, which anybody can do. As it is, he is easy to ignore. He has his moments as a player but they are far too rare. I’m old school and he just hasn’t earned the right as a a player to talk trash to anybody. Let your game speak for itself, son. Or close your mouth. Want to intimidate opposing players? Close down the lane, take away some passing lanes, block some shots, push people around with your body, box everybody out underneath, and steal the ball.

We have the whiniest damn fans. Seriously, some people do not understand how competitors act and these same people will talk about MJ being the GOAT without realizing the irony. Do you think he was a silent killer? What about Reggie Miller, Bill Laimbeer, Larry Bird, etc? Oscar is soft to complain about it. UP is a throwback competitor that has mostly dominated Oscar when they have gone head to head, as has Aidoo....even with him being able to climb their backs while getting a soft whistle when defending him. Oscar had his best game against us today but it wasn't from bullying our 5's. He did his damage mainly from the FT line and some on the perimeter.

Uros was far from the problem today. We are missing two key offensive and defensive pieces, both starters who are two of our better athletes, defenders, rebounders, mid-range shooting threats, etc. Add in Olivier being a no-show and that is three starters MIA and a 4th potential starter in Key. Santi, ZZ, Mashack and our 5 rotation are all we have had recently.

Let's see what happens if UK faces a healthy Vols team in the SECT. They may have swept us but would anyone trade records with them? Jeez does everyone forget how much we have beaten them under Barnes?
You are 💯% Oscar complaining about trash talk what a baby he is over back most every rebound.....TN does not have a go to player when they have to get bucket.....

Really the embarrassing thing is him being an upper classmen and the ring leader this fall when they walked off the field vs UK at the football game confident enough to rub the SECT trophy in the fan’s faces. Then to this winter both games the team comes out and seems completely disinterested and gets punked and play scared to death twice in a row. I love some good trash talk but you sure as hell better back it up. We got embarrassed twice.

I’m not defending Oscar but I think he gave a simple answer to a question during the postgame interview.

Anyway, most players trash talk but you better be able to back it up. Uros is 7’1 but plays like 6’6. He has one post move and plays out of control, a liability at the foul line and often commits cheap fouls. I love his passion but I rather him allow his play do his talking and minimize the chatter.

According to my son and others who see Uros out on the weekends, Uros is a funny guy who enjoys life and doesn’t take himself seriously. He’s definitely a loyal player who loves this university.

To even mention Uros in the same breath as MJ, Reggie Miller, Laimbeer, Bird, etc is ridiculous. Those guys were all actually good at basketball and could back up any trash talk. He is much more like the annoying kid that shows up to open runs and ruins good competition because he actually sucks but still tasks trash and thinks he is good.

Uros is basically a big goon. If he wasn’t ours we would all hate him, but because he is our goon we ignore his antics.

I don’t have an issue with guys trash talking, but you better be able to back it up. Plav is a 24 year old 7 footer averaging 5 pts and 4 rebounds a game. He probably needs to be quiet every now and then.

This.

Uros probably hurts the team as much or more than he helps. 7 feet with a 4 inch vertical and slow feet. He is a legend in his own mind instead of understanding his skill set. That is why he'd rather try to block the shot of a guard on backside help where he has no chance then hacks the guy instead of hoping the 1 on 1 defender does the job. Uros generally doesn't work his guy over and talk, he's generally getting worked. I'm proud of the progress he's made but he is still a lower division player. Sorry for giving this level of criticism but he has not learned.

He's the Jeremy Banks of basketball except at least Banks learned how to harness that passion and aggression as he gained more experience.

Tshiebwe is a giant baby who gets away with murder out there so he can kindly go cry into a towel about it.

Having said that, I'm completely over Uros. Nice guy, great UT ambassador, great teammate but for a guy who talks so much trash, he's about the least skilled 7 footer I've ever seen.

Unfortunately Plavsic's play rarely if ever matches his trash talking. It is what it is, an embarrassment.

I'm assuming all these people sticking up for Uros also love Kamal Hadden and supported his trash talking in the South Carolina game as well.

I would trade Uros Plasvic for Tshiebwe in a second. Give me the guy who can actually play any day over the one who is best known for running his mouth.

The entire Vol team short of Vescovi and Mashack embarrassed themselves yesterday.

Of course Oscar is better than Uros. Oscar is the reigning player of the year. Plavsic isn't even a starter on most good NCAA teams

If Tshiebwe is rattled by that kind of talk from Uros, he's going to be run out of the NBA in short order. Especially when word gets around the league that he can't handle trash talk. Suggesting that a player "embarrassed" himself by trash talking is incredibly weak, as some of the greatest that ever played the game were and are reknowned trash talkers.

We lost yesterday for a few specific reasons, but the play of Uros, aside from his FT shooting, is not among them.

Some of you are truly pathetic individuals.

Literally created a thread to tell how much you hate one of your own players.

Just sad.

The word "hate" has been used more by the people defending him. I have only seen one post that said they hate him, but I'm not even sure whether that post was referring to Uros or Oscar.

Even Barnes this year went on record saying that he "was tired of his (Uros) antics". Which is pretty much been in line with this thread. I guess Barnes is a sad and pathetic individual too huh?

Hating ones actions isn't the same as hating the actual person. But that would require higher level thinking and your posting history suggests that is something you lack.

This thread was directed at “Uros embarrassing himself” which I’ve yet to see any indication of that happening considering he only played 7 minutes.

Guess you forgot he dropped on 20 points on Oscar’s head last meeting? Who gives af what was said between Oscar and Uros? They’re both grown men. Let them fight it out or whatever, I don’t care.

This thread was nothing but idiots like you vent on how much you dislike the guy. You can downplay and play the victim card all you want but it’s not going to work with me.

Plavsic is an enforcer whose job is to get under the skin of opposing players and defend and rebound.

Any points that he gives this team is icing on the cake.

You’re the one playing the victim card here for Uros. Show me where I’ve said I don’t like Uros as a person. Or that I hate him. Or where I have disparaged his character as a human being in any way.

I’ve been critical of his game for sure (or lack thereof), which should be totally fair game on a message board to discuss men’s basketball. I called him a goon on the court and that’s a pretty accurate description of his game.

Also when your mouth (or antics as Barnes puts it) overshadows your actual abilities on the playing field I think that’s an issue. Those aren’t players I typically enjoy cheering for or having represent my alma mater. If he was known as a great player that talked trash I would have zero issues with that.

Sorry you’re so butt hurt about it though.

Exactly.

Tshiebwe has actually done something in his career to earn the right to run his mouth and whine.

And trust me, I despise anything and everything KY related but, when a team is up 20 in the first half, maybe Uros should keep his BS to himself.
