Uros Plavsic commits to Tennessee

One player gets approved and one doesn't with eerie similar situations. The NCAA sucks but do the best we can this season were loaded next season.

We don’t know what any of these situations were

We need to stop acting like we know

Only 11 scholarship players available this year is not good either.

Taking two transfers who can’t play was sub-optimal
Basically gives us a de facto recruiting class of 6 four and five stars next year. I’ve decided I’ll live with whatever happens this year, NCAAT or not.

Not advocating for any firing, but not making the NCAAT in year 5 (despite the impressive recruiting class right now) isn’t ideal

So his initial waiver was denied, we appealed and got denied again. Smh. **** the ncaa.

My guess is that Arizona State, for whatever reason, was not cooperative in this. Usually if the school where the transfer is coming from is cooperative, they approve the appeal.

Just my hunch

It won’t be the end of the world. Recruits aren’t as short sighted as fans are. They know what Barnes is building.

Not saying it is. Still not great to miss three tourneys in five years (and that might not be the case, I’m not saying the season is over).

Back when I played college sports about 20 years ago it was pretty cut and dry. After my 1st year I transferred from a D2 school to a D1 school and could play straight away. Then I transferred from the D1 school to another D2 school and had to sit out the year. The NCAA didnt make special concessions for circumstances. IT was either you met the criteria and could play or either you didnt and couldnt play. If Uros didnt play last year and red shirted he should be able to play this season. I am not sure what all the delay is in his situation. Maybe I am missing something?

Ironically we discussed this very topic awhile back and it seems that tenn was very uncooperative with helping UConn. Perfect example of why we shouldn’t expect schools to always play the game

Nobody we could’ve realistically hired after the Tyndall debacle could’ve made the tournament in the first two years. Not fair to hold that against Barnes, IMO.

Just itching to release that deacon hate. Preemptively even.

Missing the NCAAT in year 5 is bad, correct? Not trying to hate. We need to make the tourney to keep momentum for the program.

Just saying that missing the tourney in year 5 with the success of the previous two years would be very disappointing and could hurt the 2021 class.
