US State Department Stirring It Up With Iran...

You would think one of these decades we would learn to mind our own damn business, since we have such a glowing track record of success meddling in other countries' affairs.

As far as Trump's tweet goes, not sure why any of us are surprised by it. This is how he approaches foreign policy, might as well get used to it. In fairness, he was responding to the Iranian President saying something along the lines of peace can be the mother of all peace, or war can be the mother of all war.

He could have left off the bluster and rhetoric, turned off caps lock, and responded like an adult. You can be forceful without sounding like a pissy teenager.

It's cute when you get all offended over my posts and don't have answers.

But I'm going to ask "what does one have to do with the other" in regards to your post in #63? Are you implying you are in the GAO? If so, how are those raging parties going these days? Still bringing in $10,000 magicians and ordering butter poached lobster for breakfast?

You asked a question.

I answered that I wasn't qualified to solve the foreign affairs issues but would trust those with the expertise.

You called names and asked again.

I again answered that I wasn't qualified to solve the foreign affairs issues but would trust those with the expertise.

Then, to help illustrate my point I asked I question that most likely you didn't have the expertise to answer.

You pontificate that I'm offended by your name calling and change the subject.

The only thing offensive is your inability to understand my simple illustration and try to change the story to complaining about the GAO.

I'll await another obtuse trumpian response or deflection.

Also, the tone of the threat really doesn't help Trump except some red meat for his base. This could come back and bite him in the ass, same as the Red line nonsense Obama said. Don't make threats unless you are willing to back it up.

The difference is that everybody knew Obama was a *****. They think Trump is crazy. Which one of the two would you mess with?

Complete nonsense. Obama authorized more drone strikes than Bush, he didn't have a problem killing terrorists.

Trump is just as much of a *****. He throws a fit when someone critizes him and let Putin make him look like a flip-flopping weak fool last week.

There is a superficial appeal to that logic. I think you will find that most authorities on the subject place high value on predictability.

For example, you can think it's great that Trump's bluster will cause them to view him as a hot head. But what if in the midst of that there is a skirmish in the Gulf? A concern that a US ally, most notably Israel, is on a hair trigger?

Worry at his irrational nature might cause things to escalate too quickly.

I think our opponents prefer the guy who is easier to manipulate.

Like the time where he admitted he didn't have a solution and you repeated yourself for a 10th time?

Funny that he didn't say he didn't have a solution. His quote was "I'll defer to the experts on the situation."

That's not an answer or an opinion. That's a cop out. A complete escape of any responsibility of whining about the situation as it stands. Even you voice an opinion on things you might do or think could be done. Yet he continually avoids it.

Here's his original thought on the matter:

I'm all for finding a better way, but do you really think infantile rants (without backing them up) are the way to do it?

So, I ask him what he'd do. No answer save "defer to the experts." Which is continuing to be his answer.

Which is BS. You want to complain about what the man child is doing, have a ****ing solution instead of "deferring" to the same "experts" that tend to get us ****ed as a nation for years and decades to come.

I agree on this. No reason to be a motor mouth like that unless you’re willing to back it up. And no we’re not going to send troops into Iran anytime soon.

If you would re-read the thread you would see that I very simply answered the question, twice in fact.

He is deflecting.

You didn't answer jack dammit. You kept deflecting and trying to avoid giving an opinion on the matter.

You want to talk about the tantrums Trump throws? Take a look at the tantrums you've thrown over the use of a single word. All while using that as an excuse to avoid saying the simple words "I don't know what to do, but I do know I want to b!tch about Trump."

Either offer up an alternative or shut up.

Seriously? You don't think he does? By all accounts he has been fuming about the criticism he has taken, even from within his own camp.

LG, I'm sorry if I ever offended you badly and hurt your feelings by calling you "Sparky." I understand now words hurt and such nicknames might be harmful to your continued emotional growth and well being.

I do hope you can accept this heartfelt apology for my insincerity and inconsideration of the damage I might have caused to your emotional state.

Septic...never mind, you're still Sparkles.

Funny how deferring to experts is such an unsuitable answer. But then again, its not considering the audience.

Since you're such a pal I'll come up with a solution for solving world peace tonight during my evening constitutional.

I'll bet your collection of strawberry shortcake dolls I can come up with a better solution than belting out nonsensical tweets.

Conversely, since you apparently are all knowing and have no concern for expertise, how about you solve the remaining necessary physics to of the hyperloop and share with Elon Musk tonight. I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

I don't think he'd send troops. He knows how badly Iraq tarnished Bush's reputation. He does need to keep his neocons in his administration in line though, they are foaming at the mouth.
