Let's break it down by position. A lot of guys overlap but...
'92 Magic and Stockton. One could argue these are the best two to ever play the position
'07 Kidd, Billups and Williams. Kidd is very good on defense, great passer not so good shooter. Billups has been good with the Pistons but did nothing spectacular when bouncing from team to team earlier in his career. Williams is good but won't see a lot of PT

'92 MJ, best ever and Drexler was a high flyer that was an NBA top 50 player.
'07 Kobe is great, just a notch beloe MJ and Redd is a great shooter. I'll put Mike Miller in this group.

'92 Bird with a bad back, if he was in his prime it would be different. Mullin great shooter but wouldn't be able to keep up with the '07 guys. Pippen versatile and can defend just about anyone.
'07 Put Lebron here and he is great obviously. Carmelo isn't great but could be one day. Prince is a great defender.

I do remember the games back them. That's around the time I started to love basketball.
All I really remember is seeing fastbreaks. Not much half court game.
Let's put this one to bed guys. Agree to disagree.
I'm tired of posting in this thread.
I love USA basketball, and I love 92/07 just the same.
I have pride that our country invented this great sport and I appreciate how it's evolved internationally.
It's because of the 92 team that the competition is greater now in 2007.
I will still maintain that this years team is better defensively, is more athletic, and shoots a far better percentage from the field.
You guys are welcome to have your own opinions.
