USA Today: Kiffin is a liar

I could've told u he lien when I was told he moved his mouth. Didn't need a detailed chain of events. Dude is lower than garbage. And he has proven nothing as a coach. His biggest success is playing bama close when he was here. And as far as recruiting he wrecked our program by bringing in players with character similar to his own

Big Papa,

You'll be thrilled to know improving the D has been a major part of the staff's strategy for '13. We've got 2-3 5* DEs and CBs to fill the void. And QB busts can always happen, but so far we've got (2) top 100 RSo and a 5* coming in for '13...not to mention the Sills kid prodigy for '15. As far as I'm concerned, one will have to be decent.

recruiting talk at SC is utter crap. The team has recruiting according the broken public rankings at the top of the chart for over a decade, but has sucked for the past 5 years.

Nobody likes to talk margin of error with all star classes (even if they get a full compliment of schollies). USC can only afford about 2 misses in the bunch. That is literally impossible.

Starting a thread about Kiffin being a liar is about the same as starting a thread about the sky being blue.

This thread is no different than you'd see on any other board

+1

I live in Big 10 country and it's all over their boards. Even the teams most people in SEC country would view as irrelevant.

News is news. It was one of the links on the front page of ESPN I believe. College football news is college football news.

Kiffin might come up here more often than other places because of his tenure here but this story was on most forums.

I think the bigger deal is USA Today blowing up his spot concerning the vote. If I were Kiffin I'd just completely screw with them in future polls, ranking USC first and then filling spots 2 through 25 with the worst possible teams.

That would be good. Everyone already thinks he's an immature liar. He lied and a journalist made it public, that's a journalist's job. If Kiffin does the crap you're suggesting, it's no wonder a bunch of his recruits are gone(He's as immature as they are). People expect Bray not to drink and have fun in college but in the mean time, Kiffin had his own party pad, wrecked a rental and now you think he should be immature when it comes to his profession based on someone calling out his lie.

Bruce Pearl lied about a BBQ, how did that turn out?

Lane Kiffin is just lying for the sake of lying at this point. Nobody cares who he votes for, unless of course he lies. Wouldn't be much of a story if he admitted he was voting USC 1st. His story backtracking was funny and I assume he did this because any spotlight is good spotlight in his mind.

USA Today said that his vote would be confidential, which is the lie that begat this entire circumstance.

They should just not have a coaches poll until after the season has started. Anyways, is anyone really surprised that Kiffin voted his team No. 1? Seems like USA Today is just a little butthurt about being lied to by a guy who's made a career out of lying to people.

To be fair, He was asked if Rich Rodriguez should have voted USC #1, he said he wouldn't if he was him, not that he, himself wouldn't vote them #1.

This just in, the sky is blue!

He also said in response to Jim Mora's comments that he doesn't use negative recruiting. That's as believable as Big Foot or the Yeti

You have just besmirched the good name of Bigfoot which is far more likely than the LK approaching the truth.

Somebody probably needs to check to make sure he didn't vote SC first, second, and third in order to accumulate more overall votes.
