I don't agree that out of thousands of people dumb enough to storm the Capitol to try to overturn the presidential election, none thought it would work. I think at least one or more were dumb enough to think it would work. The problem is neither of us can prove our assumption.

I DO think that once it happened he was fine with it. Relished in it. Acted too slowly to tell people to cut it out just because it fed his ego. You can debate what level of moral responsibility he bears as a result, and politics of course infects that discussion so its kind of pointless.

You know a successful coup requires the control of the military and law enforcement. Without that, you have nothing ... at best a standoff that would end as well as "Butch and Sundance". Most (perhaps all successful coups) are carried out by the country's military. Calling this a "coup" or "insurrection" is a gross case of overcharging in your neck of the woods.

I agree with you that there were definitely a number of those who thought it would work. I just don’t think it was as many as someone like Luther makes it out to be.

Has anyone seriously suggested burning down a city? I don't follow the PF as closely as I used to, so if it's happened, I haven't seen it.
