Yes, I saw that part, but just trying to figure out why this is being done? I thought we were all Americans?
If you dont have me on ignore, it's funny you sit around assuming you should get respect from people younger than you, while you simultaneously hurl vitriol and baselessly assume anybody that doesn't agree with you is young, dumb, jobless, and broke.
That guy isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt that he deserves respect online or in person from me. That "hey I know nothing about you, but you're obviously young/dumb/have a crappy job" crosses my mind just like "you're old" crosses your mind.Depends on how you view respect. What goes on in these threads has nothing to do with showing respect in general to someone you don't know. It's a life courtesy that should be practiced. Most people you meet will never be "friends", but how you treat someone in that one encounter will always be in your vault. I agree that is lost on today's young.
I also see alot of jabs back and forth in these threads that have various origins. Some people just take shots at opinions that are not theirs. Some are being sarcastic and poking fun and it gets mis-interpreted. and then I think there are a handful that just have issues and are going to attack no matter what. Almost always ends up in keyboard battles. I've probably deleted twice as many repsonses before hitting the post button as I have documented replies. That "hey, do you know how old you are" notion crosses my mind.
