she had /foot/ issues, and had had surgery on her feet, not her ankles, so who knows: when it comes to injuries it's hard to get any facts from UT.

announcer said" ankle ahh foot" in other words he misspoke and corrected himself. Everybody needs to realize though she had great stats against China, they have no players close to her height. She still needs to work on her assertiveness. She is going to be wonderful but don't expect All American from the start, she has stuff to learn that only time can take care of doing, but still she is already hugely improved, and can actually really jump! Izzy as a senor would eat her lunch, Izzy at start of junior year, would be a good comparison.

Getting better with every game. Czechs had played China and italy as well as we did. Looks like we brought our A game tonight.

A tough game for USA we survived against Japan 102 to 98 in two overtimes!!! whew!!!

Mercedes with 25 points and 14 rebounds. She played an amazing 46 minutes 46 seconds. That is a lot of time on the court.

We got punched in the mouth in the first quarter losing 30 to 16 fought our way back in quarter 2 and 3 and managed a one point win in quarter four to force overtime.

Terrible shooting from the guards today. Russel had a great game and certainly was the star today. Team is really missing Diamond, but hopefully they can play better in the title game and bring home the Gold.
