USAID may be the biggest scandal in American History.

Did you miss the news this week of the EOs eliminating presidential term limits, abolishing the vote, and terminating the legislative and judicial branches?
Well yeah, but I thought maybe there was something else broken. Maximus Trump will reconstitute the constitutional omelet, and give it back.

A CBS activist (not a journalist) asking a Sen questions & then telling him he's wrong.
This is why America is not watching or getting their news from anymore. They're dead.

The Republican Party should refuse any future interviews with Margaret. See how quickly CBS News becomes even more irrelevant when they can only get democratic coverage.

Pretending judicial review doesn't exist effectively renders the judicial branch useless

Yeah, this seems dangerous.

On the other hand, allowing a judge to issue such a nebulous and broad order that says “no political appointee” can access the Department’s records, as has been reported, seems to be an unconstitutional overreach of the judicial branch’s judicial review power by interfering with the executive authority to oversee executive agencies.

The head of this agency is a political appointee. How does he do his job if he can’t see this own agencies records?

Thanks; I hope you are right. In any event, it does appear to be a poorly drafted order; he is a political appointee, and political appointees are restrained from access.

I agree with you that is probably not the intent, but the order is drafted poorly.

From your posted language from the order:

“… and Treasury Department regulations; (ii) restrained from granting access to all political appointees, special government employees, and government employees detailed from an agency outside the…”
