Did he say so soft and turrible?

Definitely an Alabama accent. Thought it might've been...

So who HAS T recruited to USC that has turned out so hard? Their record on the field has been anything but stellar recently and makes you wonder how T can say anything about other team's recruits. There was a day when USC got whoever they wanted. Now that T is there, some star recruit RBs go elsewhere.

We will all know if Hurd is soft or not soon.

We already know he's not soft, if you have ever watched any of his film or seen him live. And don't say "well we don't know how he will do in the college", because under that premise every prospect who hasn't played a down in college you can call soft. We probably won't hear any other comments by that same coach about the recruits they picked up, because it was obviously biased and ignorant. Hey Cecil Cherry, if your listening, this same coach thinks your soft to!!

It was just a stupid comment, no way around it.

I wonder if Hurd is as upset about this as some of you appear to be?
Doubt it.

I was actually smiling and in a peaceful mood when I made that post, much like this guy.

Between him teasing us and getting a free family vacation when we brought him in for an interview and now this, someone needs to take his sign down. I can't believe he's runnin his mouth about his alma mater like that- just don't say anything.... Maybe he's butthurt because he tried to recruit him out west and got a no.
Speaking of butthurt......funny how someone such as yourself thinks they can dictate the "VFL" status of a man who's contributions gave this program a BCS Title.

Tee just having to cover his butt to explain why he is not as good a recruiter as Thig and Jones. All you need to know here.

Wth? Anyway, this will just give Hurd a chip on his shoulder, that is a good thing. I'm sure he would consider all the recruiting services 'questioning' him being able to stay healthy as 'soft'. Just gives him more motivation to be SEC FOY.

I hear Tee say that and wonder what grade he's in. A top 5 star RB that he recruited and wanted is soft and terrible eh? He sounds like a 12 year old who didn't get what he wanted so he took his ball and went home.

Guess some former Vols aren't VFL.

INSANE! He will always be a vol
Besides friggin Dooley came up with that VFL not sure why we are still hanging on to it anyway.
If mr Hurd decided to transfer or get tossed out many of you on here would call him much worse.

He got a free education/ room and board and admittedly took money on top of it. Let's stop acting like he did this out of the goodness of his heart.

In reality, you CAN'T guarantee that ANY high school player will or will not be "hard" enough to transition. Except in a few very, very competitive states, players do not face anything close to college level talent or physicality.

We probably won't hear any other comments by that same coach about the recruits they picked up, because it was obviously biased and ignorant. Hey Cecil Cherry, if your listening, this same coach thinks your soft to!!
Please note that I didn't agree or disagree per se. I only said the obvious. We will see pretty soon if Hurd is soft or not.

It was just a stupid comment, no way around it.
Probably more jealous and "sour grapes" than stupid.

Every recruit no matter how great they look on the HS level is a "risk". As that goes, Hurd looks pretty "low risk" unless he continues to have injury issues.

BTW, I was only able to see the one televised game so I do not claim in any way to be an expert on the kid. The biggest thing I saw in that game was that he used poor form when hitting on D. I am unsure though if he was protecting his shoulder already or not.
