USC coach calls Hurd "soft"?

They have everything backwards out west, like everything. So with this in mind we have to assume Tee meant Hurd was extremely physical and wouldve been a great addition to their team had he given two craps about them.

Tee tried to recruit him and then he heard that the only T Hurd was interested in was a bright orange T in Knoxville.

nick saTan was just as upset when Hurd didn't even want to talk to him but his job wasn't on the line.

I'd guess that Tee now knows he made a mistake when he said no to Butch about coaching our Vols.

I doubt that Hurd is soft and this will only make him more determined to prove it.

Anyone following Tennessee football in the nineties want kick Tee to the curb. He's always my VOL hero along with the entire 98 team. Don't care what he says about Jalen. Tee may have to eat those words though. We will know by the end of the first game.

Uh, I don't think anywhere in my post did I mention a VFL status, so settle down a bit. As for someone "such as myself", I am entitled to my opinion just like everyone else is on this site. Speaking of "someone such as yourself", and "dictate", funny how you are the Tee Martin police and have taken it on apon yourself to "dictate" who's posts are ok and those who are not..... Get a grip.

Tee should remember that people called him erratic, inaccurate and a huge drop off from Manning but he won Nat Title. Tee had a chance to be a vol coach, he chose USC therefore I think he should worry about USC's running backs. I would hate for him to wear out his welcome on the hill.

On November 30, Henderson (Tennessee) Beech High School
junior running back Jalen Hurd set state records for 11-player
football single-season rushing yardage and single-season
points.
In Beech High School’s 56-35 win over Columbia (Tennessee)
Central High School in the Tennessee Secondary School
Athletic Association Class 5A state championship game, Hurd
rushed 34 times for 394 yards and seven touchdowns.
For the season, Hurd ended up with 3,357 rushing yards,
breaking the former state record of 3,068 yards set by
Dy'Shawn Mobley of Powell (Tennessee) High School in 2011.
According to the National Federation of State High School
Associations’ online multimedia National High School Sports
Record Book, Hurd’s performance ranks 25th all time
nationally.
In addition, Hurd's 42-point effort against Columbia Central gave him 294 points for the season, breaking the former
state record of 290 set by Kelcey Williams of Humboldt (Tennessee) High School in 1995.
Hurd's seven touchdowns also set a championship game record for rushing touchdowns. Beech finished its 2012
season with a 15-0 record.

sounds like you may be the one that needs to get a grip. Are you that mad that Tee Martin has a successful career while you are busy cleaning toilets?

Would USC have turned Hurd away if he wanted to go there? Doubtful. Has Tee Martin landed any top players from the south as USC expected him to, given his contacts and history in the SEC (Jalen Ramsey and Jason Hatcher were both committed last year but signed with FSU and KY respectively, Tee also recruited Dewayne Hendrix and he visited them but again no dice) ? Nope. Is there any reason to regard Tee as a guru on recruiting prospects? No. Is Tee Martin a fat (soft as jello) middle aged slob? Yep.
