Wut? I saw him lower his head more than a few times and get extra yards....I don't think it was like surfing into the end zone..guy was a good back....imo

he was a fine college player. not great, but good. not almost win the heisman good though.

what are you arguing exactly?

That if TG would have came back this year Stanford would have thumped USC. Never said TG was the next coming of Barry Sanders. Just think he was a great back for that system. What are you arguing?

i'm arguing that the oline was the reason gerhart was good and that is obvious if you look at this years stats.

stanford is basically averaging the same number of yards per game as they did last year on the ground despite luck being far more experienced. the great white hope gerhart has been shown to be a fraud. there are a lot of backs that could run for big yardage with that oline.

Luck being more experienced only helps the ground game. No passing game makes it hard to run the ball.

See, that's the tough thing about facts. They generally crush the fallacy of hype.

Except the Washington team they lost to last week dropped a game to ASU on saturday, whom before that game had a 9 game losing streak to FBS programs, and hasn't finished above .500 in 3 years.

Also, for those who don't know. Stanford has beaten USC 3 out of the last 4 timed they've played. Unacceptable when you're as talented as the Trojans.

well in 07 carroll kept in booty despite a broken finger and he basically gave the game to stanford. they also completed a bunch of 4th and very long plays at the end of the game. biggest fluke win i've ever witnessed.

Another bit of awesomely bad news for USC: They signed 2 OL in '09, 1 OL in '10, and only have 1 OL committed so far for '11. Lulz.

Cal had a back in 2004 run for over 2000 yards. He's not even in the nfl anymore. ron dayne is the ncaa all time leader in rushing yards. he isn't exactly ripping up the nfl.

Tim Tebow had more TD's his sophomore year than he will probably have in his NFL career. Does that mean he wasn't a great college player?

USC's in for a tough few years. Don't they only have 15 available scholarships this recruiting season?

You're right. Well they have two committed right now, one is a 3* and the other a 2*.
