USC lands top QB recruit in Wittek

He had the more talented at home last year and got embarrassed by Slick Rick. He now gets to play him every year. Not to mention his old man is a short timer as is Coach O. He's alienated himself across the coaching landscape the last two years so he won't backfill with quality coaches.

Will he be successful? Maybe. If so, good for USC. But my prediction is a slow slide to mediocrity by Troy.

That's wishful thinking.

Another Clarkson student...

Who was offered first, Wittek or the thirteen year old ?

Clarkson must be running a special, "Buy a dozen lessons and get a scholarship to USC."

So you question why Sark is a better coach, then use an example of a game Sark won compared to a game Kiffin lost?

I assumed the USC game was your rationalization for Sarkisian being bettter. I asked you to explain how Sarkisian "proved" he's a better coach. You didn't.

Did he really have more talent? UCLA wasn't starting any walkons. We were starting 3. Obviously UCLA had the superior QB at that time. Kicker the Bruins win in a landslide. The talent was a lot more even than you think. The year prior we clearly had them outclassed as nearly their entire OL was out with injury. This year, all those guys were back, plus a group that had gotten a lot of experience.

Coach O may take over as DC when Monte retires.

If I remember right he owned up to not throwing on that 4th down in the goal line trying to get walk ons to block price was not a great idea but at the time crompton wasn't hitting anyone....you are not thinking at all man not at all kiffin will be just fine at USC

Doesn't matter. Virtually every talented football player west of Colorado grows up dreaming of wearing cardinal and gold. Pete Carroll was due for an off season.

Kiffin won't run wild in the Pac like CPC did, but he is clearly the odds-on favorite to win the conference, especially as long as Coach O and Monte are around.
