USC/Texas Game thread

How'd USC end up in that making history story ESPN ran? I guess this makes the 2005 Longhorns the greatest team of all time.

ESPN deserves all the flack in the world for that crap. Talk about putting the cart before the horse.

How neat, the Channel 2 news out of Nashville are in Cookeville tonight with a group of fans that watched the game. Interviewing some of Brown's old friends from here.

Mike Wilbon came thisclose to getting the final score right... he predicted 42-40 on PTI today.

If someone had told me at halftime that there would be 78 points scored, I'd have thought they were crazy.

Game had it all... defense in the first half, offense in the second, big plays, comebacks, lead changes, bad officiating to give us something more to talk about... what more could you ask for?

Yeah i just had the feeling that whoever had the ball last would win. If USC had a few more snaps who knows what could have happened. Could u have imagined these two offenses going into overtime. Tomorrow morning we would be in the 20th OT the score would be 175-175.

Nothing. Among the best bowl games ever.

Mark May said if Texas won this game, he'd put 2005 Texas on that list.

Just shows how dumb that bit was - as GAvol says "cart before the horse".

By ESPN logic, this Texas team has to be the best of all time since they beat the best of all time.

Why not all four?

Ohio State takes out Notre Dame in convincing fashion, Ted Ginn, Troy Smith and Santonio Holmes have a performance for the ages. West Virginia holds of Georgia for an intense fourth quarter and a big upset. JoePa and Bowden battle in a match of two of the greatest coaches of all time. And then this game? Amazing.

OSU/ND was never really in question. That was more of an instant beatdown.

Not to say I wouldn't mind watching it a few more times, but it didn't really fit the bill of a big comeback, or close game throughout.

hey lets not forget nebraska vs. michigan. god best bowl season ever. period.
