The Backs come out pumped up and play a great 1st quater but then USC takes over in the second half for easy win.

USC commits a bunch of first half turnovers and Arkansas hangs on and wins a shootout.

I can probably agree the most with this one. USC probably will come out slow, but if there's one thing Pete Carroll is good at, it's halftime adjustments. That and Arkansas does not have their RB. They are screwed without him.

If USC loses, do you think everyone will jump off the USC bandwagon, or jump onto the Arkie bandwagon? Or both?

I just can't believe that USC has dropped off enough and Arkansas has improved enough for this to be a one score game.

To those of you who took Arkansas, are you taking Arkansas or the points?
I am taking Arkansas. I know everyone says that it is the same ole USC until proven otherwise...but it isn't! The fact that analysts and fans are saying so, is pretty much playing into the Hog's favor. The USC players will enter the game feeling invinceable, simply because they are USC. Yet, of the 22 players that will start the game, 14 have never started a game. People can preach all they want about the recruiting classes USC has brought in, however, after UT's 2005 season, we should all know that 4 and 5 star high school kids do not always amount to greatness in college. I will not be surprised if USC wins, however, I firmly believe that Arkansas will pull this one out.

I think ARK makes a game of it, and it is closer than most would think. but USC too talented for ARK...and they win. but ARK covers.

You may be right but I just don't see how with their 1st team back on a primarily run offense team out with injury.

Their backups are juniors and seniors who have seen considerable playing time in their careers. USC's running back is most likely going to be a freshman.

well, that definitely sucks for them...i still like 'em to keep it close.

they get USC at the right time...1st game out with all those new faces on offense, anything can happen, and Fayetteville will be going nuts that's for sure.

It is pretty telling that a coach such as Pete Carroll has his game 1 depth chart stating:
TB
Ryan Powdrell OR
Chauncey Washington OR
Michael Coleman OR
Whitney Lewis OR
John Griffin OR
Desmond Reed OR
Hershel Dennis OR
Kenny Ashley OR
C.J. Gable OR
Stafon Johnson OR
Emmanuel Moody

That is not 11 deep at TB, that is 11 shallow. When you as a coach are having a hard time cutting your depth chart down to two players, much less 11, it means that no one has stepped up. That, along with a QB battle between Sanchez and Moody, has to keep Pete up at night.
