'20 UT ILB Noah Sewell (Oregon commit)

This would have been accurate, last year at this time. This is the first year that Kirby’s recruits are upperclassmen, all those young pups on the OL are finally maturing. Last year was a rebuilding year, lost the heart of the offense and defense last year plus all the leadership might have been the best UGA has had.

Lost two RBs to the NFL previous year and replaced them with two more RBs that had 1,000 yard seasons. Holyfield is the only RB not returning. On D, Stokes is replacing Baker. He was ranked 2nd in the league last year. The defense is expected to be better this year (according to Steele and others).

Now, first off Holloman wasn’t the #1 WR last year, he was the one returning with the most production coming back. WR is the one spot where guys will have to step up. Talented guys, but sometimes that shows up at the next level, sometimes it doesn’t. 3 WR coming in where ranked top 10. Definitely a point of concern however.

TE took a big hit too. not trying to oversell but that is a hole as well

Yep, anticipated Nauta leaving but Ford leaving hurt and hurt numbers crunch as well. Will next year as well, that’s why they are taking two this year, Woerner will be off to the NFL next year.

Nauta was a terrible blocker. At least vs UT. Taylor abused him. Even if that lead to one of the most TN results ever when he ran that fumble in.

You aren’t the only one with that opinion, I do think he has a good game plan going into games but once the other team adjusts (2nd half), he doesn’t adjust but honestly that can be said of many. So, not a huge deal.

So, that’s not my beef. My beef was in the red zone, all 3 years. You’ve got these RBs, this OL and instead of running 2/3 of the time in the RZ, stats show he would call passing plays instead, that will lead you to being 109th in the RZ. No reason for a team who avg 37 ppg to struggle that bad in the RZ. Go back and watch any game when Kirby is losing it screaming into the headset (not a fan btw), there is only one coach he would scream at, and it was for calls inside the opp 20/25 yard line, trying to reinvent the wheel.

I agree with that as well. But he was more pass happy under Dooley atleast he has learned to run the ball on 3rd and 1. I will say he could be little more creative on red zone passing. Or on running ball and n it just try run it right up the mouth of defense.

He is locked in to officials at UGA, A&M, and Oregon.

It sounds like Clemson, Alabama, and us are fighting for one of the other two officials.

I'll do all of my officials in the fall and I know I'm going to Oregon, Texas A&M and Georgia," said Sewell.

Oregon has his brother, Penei, heading in to his sophomore season.

"I'm being recruited by everybody at Oregon, Coach (Mario) Cristobal, Coach (Ken) Wilson, my brother," said Sewell. "It's like a big family feeling there."
He said that he maintains he's still open to everyone.

"I'm still wide open," said Sewell. "I don't plan to decide until hopefully right before the season ends. Then I'm enrolling early."
-247, still think Oregon is everyone’s biggest hurdle.
