UT opens as 12pt favorite over Vandy

Is this really a road game when 2/3rds of the crowd will be in orange? I don’t think this game is a gimme but I also don’t think their crowd is going to have a thing to do with it. It will look like a home game for us.
I think you’re right about the crowd. But IMO when we’ve underperformed on the road the crowd hasn’t looked like the problem. We’ve never seemed to be rattled with noise, problems getting plays in, lining up, etc. We’ve just not got going period. But I do hope you’re right. I’d love to see us put it all together and give them a 30-40 pt beat down. Getting hot right now is when it matters.

Stands will be 70% Vols. The students that go to games will be at home for Thanksgiving and many of the few Vandy fans there are will be selling their tickets.

By the way you could have gone to this game for free. I bought four Vandy season tickets. Sold VA Tech, Alabama, Texas and USC for more than the cost of the season tickets.
A very wise investment. You should be my finance manager.

Concerned? with Vandy? Are you serious? Lmao..... Lot of scared and battered people here. Can't believe. I thought we had real fans
Were you concerned about Arkansas? This year is different, upsets are happening every week. Vandy has played pretty decent football. How tf do any of those things make me not a real fan?

I think we match up well with them BUT something has seemed off with our defense the last few games. Our inability to cover TEs really worries me going forward not just in the Vandy game.
I said couple weeks ago---- Pili loss probably ended our chances to make much noise in playoffs. We can no longer expect the defense to bail out a mediocre offensive performance.

What teams have we beat by 21?
UT-Chattanooga, North Carolina State, Kent State, Mississippi State, and Texas-El Paso. Roughly half the teams we've played.

Why?

Are you implying Vandy is better than all these teams, and there's no way we beat them by 21+?

Exactly. Look at those teams. Not exactly a trend of blowing out quality opponents. I didn’t say there’s no way we win by 21+. If our offense ever clicks for 4 quarters we’re more than capable of it. But it’s not happened yet. All I was saying is given our road play, given vandys season, the line was prob about right.

But you missed the point. The point is, it HAS happened yet. It happened five times. Against some little teams, sure, but also against some that might very well be just as good as Vandy. I'm not sure Vandy's better than NC State or Miss St. Are you?

We'll see. Win and we're in. We don't need to win by 21. But we very well could.

Go Vols!

This is what I think, too. About a 17 point margin. I'll say 34-17, but we might not get that much. Maybe only 24-10.
The Vols are absolutely due to give a team a first quarter thumping like we have seen Under Heupel in previous years. We have been our own worst enemy by killing momentum with dumb penalties or TOs unfortunately. I believe we curb stomp Vandy this upcoming Saturday 39-17!

We have 2 losses one of those being to probably a top 3 team in CFB on the road. What's your point? Is it not pretty enough for you? Ask Bama fans if they would have taken an ugly win last night.....
We was up 25-3 in the 4th on Oklahoma then they scored 12 points.

This game is going to be a brawl. Lot of pride on the line. Home field advantage. We win. We don't cover the spread.
24-20
That's a very interesting spread. Vandy has only lost one game by more than 12 points this year (SC). I guess they (media) think we are better than everyone else Vandy has played. Good to know.
