UT reaches out to Donnie Jones?

2 Things here...

1)A lot of coaches are going to have their agents saying programs like UT are reaching out to them to try and garner a pay raise.

2)UT has a search firm. Part of their duty is to reach out to a wide range of coaches and gauge interest. Does not mean that the particular coach will be in contention in the end.

Yeah, pretty much a gloomy picture painted by Goodman. Hope he has wrongly assessed the UT situation.

Third: teams is good conferences usually take the best coaches from terrible conferences.

First of all that most likely did not happen. Second of all he would be a LAST resort and I am not even sure that would be true.

Coaches in the MVC, A-10, and CAA were mentioned beforehand. Feel special.

Haha... as I said over there, dude is going to be a good coach, but has done nothing to merit UT engaging in a bidding war.

How many Tiger fans were ready to cut him loose in Jan?

There is a common thread between both of them: they both were assistants under Billy Donovan. Donnie Jones can recruit really well and could be a very good hire. Shaka is a little less proven but you have to be impressed with what he has down at VCU this year.
