Per Gary Parrish, Chris Mack at Xavier has already turned down UT.

There will be many more, as there are better jobs available now, and will be more, once the carousel starts.

I would not want MJ's son, because I don't want him to whine about not being able to wear his Dad's shoes. And even more so, I don't want an entire athletic department to capitulate to the whims of one whiney kid because he's famous.

i highly doubt schools just blindly accept coach's on their word when they come to them wanting raises with claims that they were being contacted by another school.

To be honest, a lot of people were not satisfied. The good thing is that he has dealt with several situations this season that a lot of coaches dont see at all or much later in their career. I was very happy with the late season adjustments he made and the way he had the team playing in the CUSA tourney and NCAA tourney game.

As far as what theyre saying about UTK not wanting Pastner, I can see why. The one and only time most UTK fans saw him was standing on the sideline clapping and smiling as his team got ass raped on the court. He might be the next big thing but nothing has said hes not the next big flop either. No need for UTK to go after him, at least not yet.

Oh, and Im very happy that hes gonna hang around too. Hes a great recruiter and an amazing face for the university.

As soon as you all stop calling us Mempiss and Tiger High. I really dont care but its always been UTK to me because I have a lot of friends and affiliations with UTM and UTC

Seeing how our team fell apart this season as the Pearl issues got worse and worse.....and you're on here for comic relief....I just think back to how bad our team was but was still able to produce this over Memphis...

Thats a nice pic of you in your avatar. Glad you felt the need to bring up a january game to talk trash about. Makes about as much sense as me talking **** about beating Peyton Manning in 1996. Im sure our final second missed free throw to lose to Zona (a team that just humiliated the preseason consensus #1) was just as embarrasing as getting beat by 30 to the #6 team in the Big Ten. We never lost by 30 this season.
