Just saw that this is officially being announced. IMO it can do nothing but help bball recruiting. Thoughts?

Imo it's awesome. It's hard to gauge how much it will help, but it can't hurt.

I can't wait to see the bball shoes.

I love the move. Looking forward to the shoes and what design we have on the back of the jersey. Like JCV said, its hard to gauge how much it will help recruiting, but it sure isn't going to hurt. IMO

Not a huge surprise considering Hart was at FSU and Bama and both were Nike schools. I wonder if UT took a lower amount or if Nike matched though.

I've always been a fan of Adidas. I don't know why people have so much hatred for them. They make great products.

I agree. I like Adidas' footwear much better. Nike just doesn't fit my feet very good. When the NFL switched to Nike, the replica jersey sizes were smaller. A worker at Sports Season told me that they have been telling them that they were too form fitting for the average buyer. Too many beers and brats to fit into those he said so he recommended people buy a size larger.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Adidas. But to a 17-18 year old brand is everything. Nike can only help :pepper:

I have heard UT will get less $$$ from Nike.

UT was always going to have to take less from Nike to make the switch. We were one of adidas' biggest clients. Top 3 would be my guess. Nike doesn't need us like adidas does. It's why we have been with them for 10+ years.

The $$$ issues within the AD is why I was a little surprised they pulled the trigger. When discussing a possible coaching change(should it happen of course), folks bring up CCM's buyout going down in 2015. But maybe Hart and them subscribe to the Jermaine Dupri and Jay Z way of thinking:

"Ferrari and Jaguar switching 4 lanes with top down screamin out Money ain't a thing"

I hope that is the case.

Lol Louisville and Michigan wear Adidas......last years National Championship game participants. I know you were jojing but I seriously will be glad to get rid of that tiger stripish printed shirts Adidas makes for shootarounds.
