All for it I always hated addidas. My high school were addidas and their stuff was garbage would go through 3 pairs of ball shoes in a season.

Speaking of uniforms, are we ever going to see a Smokey Gray bball uniform? I would think we would, we already did an alternate last year, and basketball is much easier to work in different uniforms than football.

Will be interesting to see what uniform changes might be made. Hope I can still get some Adidas Vol stuff to wear, though.

The switch to Nike for basketball has nothing to do with jersey style, shoe style, etc., and has everything to do with AAU sponsorships, etc., when kids are being groomed.

No what will help basketball is getting a coach who has a damn clue....Shoes will not make that happen.

Yep, the switch to Nike means nothing more than more money for UT. I'd think all the recruits like I Phones. Perhaps, we should get an I Phone sponsorship, too. Maybe, Waffle House, if that's what they like.:)

"I phones." Lol. Slydell, I don't know if you did that on purpose, but even if you did it made me laugh.

Nike has better basketball shoes, just as they do cleats. That's jmo, from wearing both over the past 3 decades. Adidas has always felt heavier in the heel to me.

I think the switch to Nike will help Basketball recruiting immensely.

I could be wrong but isn't non Nike sponsored schools coaching staffs like Tennessee banned from attending Nike Camps & Combines that usually invite the best of the best HS talents in the country?

Impurrative.
engrained in me. Can't help it. Spent a lot of time listening to Coach Meyer before he left Lispcomb. He makes CM, and many other coaches, look like they don't know a thing about some facets of the game.

:) Sorry, that joke is a little past its prime, but I just wanted to get one in.

I do agree with and enjoy the vast majority of your analyses.

So Georgetown and Marquette can have them, but us, UT, the highest paid university by NIKE can't have them?

Jordan has special contracts with friends of his that are alumni from the schools. Some other schools just have the jerseys but don't get the shoes that come with it.
