UT under potential NCAA investigation for NIL

I'm aware. It's just apples and oranges.

Carson Beck should be, by top tier college QB market value, a multimillionaire by now via NIL. It's not a stretch at all.

An unsigned HS prospect flying across country in a private plane and having an unofficial visit isn't something you'd really expect.
And Nico isn't just as marketable ? Even younger ? How many Polynesian all everything QBs are around the country creating clothing lines, advocating for breast cancer, selling real merchandise. Have you paid attention to Nico's camps and the kids that show up for autographs ? I'd say Nico is far more marketable than Carson Beck but yeah lol it's apples to oranges..... Spyre reserves the right as a business to bring talent because it is their business to do so. They can fly him anywhere they want to secure that talent. If Nico is in town for a business meeting he should not be restricted to a hotel room.

Was he when he signed?

Look, I'm not saying UT did anything wrong but the fact of Beck buying a Lambo when he's a Jr starting QB at GA is crazy but not that odd.

Nico hadn't thrown a pass yet nor even signed with a college yet and was not totally unknown but certainly not as high profile as a starting SEC QB when he flew across country in a private jet and took an unofficial visit.

Jeez. That's painfully obvious.

Furthermore Spyre reserves the right to take a chance on any kid in America they feel is up to their standard. It is business. Nothing more nothing less

Also I'm gonna say Nico has sold more clothing, #8 tee's as a true freshman than Beck has done in 3 years at UGA. Why ? Marketing. NIL

Sigh. Idk what to tell you if you think this is a viable idea much less a good one. You’re going to force a kid to a school bc of a draft? You’re forcing programs to have more parity? The raw amount of money lost on tv contracts would be hilarious off hand.
Forcing parity (fairness) is part of the NFL and NCAA rules functions. Imperfect but the objective.

You're deliberately ignoring that when he took that flight, he hadn't done much, if any, of that.

Carson Beck is a Jr starting QB at GA.
It does not matter if he's a JR or a Freshman. Being marketable is part of NIL. NCAA can not stop any player from making business decisions or being entertained by Spyre or any other Collective. They also can't say Nico can not visit a school while on a business trip. Period. The notion to do either breaks anti- trust laws.

I touched on all of that if you read.
Would you like to inform me of another non-signed player who a collective flew across country before they'd signed with a school?

I've not looked but I don't think it'll be hard for me to find some other signed player buying a sports car of some kind with their NIL money.

That's my point.

You think Spyre is the only Sports Group to fly a HS kid on a private Jet ? Thats laughable. Do you know why Nico is so poloraized ? Because he is marketavle and the face of the class

Here's my end of the deal. I'll wait for yours.

Pretty sure I’m not. There has never been a case where a student chose Valdosta State over Dartmouth cuz Blazers rule!

Daddy wants his BABY to get a leg up and Ivy League graduate status is also bling for Pops.

When SUPPLY of qualified students dries up, the quality of the basketball program isn’t going to reverse it.
Valdosta, while a fine school, isn’t a private institution.

This is more of a Dartmouth v. Brown v. Vandy v. Tulane v. SMU v. Pepperdine competition.

Carson Beck is about as marketable as my pet beta fish, Thor. And Thor died 3 years ago.

The last part made me pause.

You are absolutely correct, that's why he is so polarizing, people can't get enough of him.

So because most of those were proven players you believe Nico shouldn't be afforded the same when he has proven to be as marketable ?
Sigh. Not when he took that flight.

The issue with Nico, and you certainly know this, that makes it odd is that he'd not signed with a school but had signed with Spyre.

I'm not saying that's going to be against the rules. There's a ton about that flight that we don't know but it IS odd and his NIL being signed before signing with UT was odd.

Maybe you don't want to admit that's odd, but it is.

You’re doing a roundabout of goofy arguments. 😴

Idk if you’re aware of this or not but at the time only a few states allowed high school recruits to sign NIL deals. California was one of them. Idk how many there are now but back then there were only a few and of those few only a couple were talent producing states. Again I’m not sure if you’re pointing to the oddity of this at the time or pointing to it now. And again there were no rules in place at the time of Nico’s recruitment unless you do apply booster rules which is what they’re trying to do.
