I know it is a bit early but it just wouldn't hurt to start this thread now as in a couple of days we will be a month away from this marquee matchup.

KU may have lost evrybody but they still look good, especially the Aldrich kid.

I bet Bruce will have the answer in the form of Williams going up against him.

We play KU and Gonzaga within a few days leading up to conf play. Throw in Marquette and we have a tough few weeks ahead.

yeah, we always have a tough OOC basketball schedule. It's usually one of the reasons helping in our high RPI rankings

Why don't they impress you? What little I saw of the KU-Kent game last night impressed me. They look quick, crisp, aggressive, and they can shoot.
Exactly. They have probably the best true center in the country and a very good PG. That's a very good start.

Toss in the fact that the game's in Allen, we might have some struggles with a young team, 1 PG and no true center.

I love our team and love cheering for them, but KU is strong - they look like a bunch of athletic gym rats. Wait until they have a few more weeks to gel.

I'm hoping to get the KU perspective out of all this and they should be coming to visit in the near future. Hopefully there are no Tigger fans here to crash the party here; we'll just eat them alive:)

My wife is a from Kansas and a huge KU fan. She is saying all the same things about us that most of you are saying about them. We have seen almost every game of both teams and are in agreement that this game is a toss up right now. KU has not come close to playing the schedule that we have as of yet and before Jan. 3rd we will have played Marquette as well. That has to help us. Allen Fieldhouse is an awesome place to watch a game and it will be rocking for us. I hope some of you can make it to Lawrence. I'm going to be there with all of my in-laws, who are huge Jayhawk fans, decked out in orange. I'm going to bring my power T flag and try to get a camera shot. I'd love to get bragginng rights in my house for the next year!

This will be one of the tough games before league play.

UPDATE: KU manages to put away Temple by 12.

hey Vols fans, coldplay here....a Kansas fan.

looking forward to hosting y'all in AFH this weekend, looks like this game could go either way given our young squad. For our sake, hope you guys are chucking the 3-ball at will and they are clanking off the rims. If your shots are falling, it'll be a good chance to steal a W in the cradle of college hoops. Hopefully it's a great game both ways and we see a classic. I bet the UT kids will love the experience of playing on Naismith Court and in Allen Fieldhouse.

On a friendly note, don't expect to get a lot of UT/KU bball chatter at KUsports.com until gameday, the board isn't exactly known for actually talking bball....just reacting to it after the fact.

Best wishes and we'll see some creamsicle orange in lawrence this week!

If we are launching up 3 balls they will most definitely be clanking. Hope that's not our game plan haha.

Admittedly I don't follow the Vols very closely, but it seems like some games they come out and just chuck up 3s a littletoo much. That first half against Temple....wow....what did UT throw up, 20 threes? Will be a long couple hours for the defending Nat'l Champs if your kids are hitting nylon....
