polls dont mean jack poo until the end of the year

not true at all...if you get your loss early, you can climb back...if you get multiple losses, poor showings or Godforbid, get your loss late, you ain't climbin' back...there isn't time. This is a conceptual flaw of the polling system. Two one-loss teams can have totally different polling spots depending on what point in the season they lose. Now, i concede that winning in the moment is key, not looking ahead at the polls, but if we're to have a shot at climbing back (even if we were to win out), we cannot affort another drop after a win.
