Who will win

We got rice and really dont want to talk too much about all their strength in the lane or their 5 star recruits.:p

I think it could be almost as good as last year

1. Tyreke needs to show why he's the leading scoring freshman in the country.

2. Willie needs to play the way he played sat.

3. Taggart needs to show up . ( with an attitude )

4. Anderson needs to lock down whomever he's guarding.

5. Dozier needs to make sure his weak side help is where it's supposed to be.

6. Eveyone off the bench needs to have a positive productive time , when in.

7. Garcia will be back most likely and we will see how far behind he is.

not much to ask for

I need everyone else to keep it to themselves so I don't have to search for CALISKINGs insight and brilliance. Thanks in advance.

Doubtful, but even if he is available and back on the "main land", I hope he never even sees TBA.

IMO, if Garcia does see ANY PT, it will be a sign of desperation of the frontcourt for Cal.

Like I said, I just assume he stays far away from Knoxville this weekend..

Although I tend to say, "throw out the stats" when it's a rivalry game, here are the Memphis stats since Tyreke Evans moved to the point guard (games in reverse chronological order):

Code:
/------------------------------------\
| | 3pt | 2pt |
|Opp | Made Att % | Made Att % |
|------------------------------------|
|UAB | 9 16 56% | 28 53 53% |
|TUL | 4 9 44% | 20 52 38% |
|UCF | 7 18 39% | 27 56 48% |
|MAR | 5 17 29% | 29 61 48% |
|LAM | 12 30 40% | 42 79 53% |
|NU | 5 13 38% | 22 51 43% |
|CIN | 2 18 11% | 24 64 38% |
|DRX | 10 22 45% | 31 65 48% |
|------------------------------------|
|TOT | 54 143 38% | 223 481 46% |
\-----------------------------------/

That's a big improvement from before he was at point guard. Before he went to the point, Memphis was 51-194 (26% from three), and 236-574 (41% from two). That's an increase of 12% from 3pt range and 5% from 2pt range.

Reke and the team are playing alot better with him at the point. He isn't a true point, but he is the best answer Cal can put on the floor this year.

Again, why don't you take your unfounded and pathetic holier than thou attitude to a Memphis board. At least Tennessee has two national championships in football, y'all got squat. The Kansas', Kentuckys, North Carolinas, Dukes, and so on and so on of the basketball world laugh at y'alls almost won something bravado.

Again, then what do you think they do when they hear Vol fans talking about their "dominant" program?

Not saying I disagree that the team is playing better but the stats are hard to use in this argument since the quality of opponents since Tyreke took over PG is not what it was before he took over PG.

I was just about to say that, not to many powerhouses on that list.

For the Memphis fans that are around here, I have a question, I was messing around on the Memphis board and found that they/you believe that Memphis can finish at 28-3, do you really think that can happen? This recent winning streak is due to a very soft schedule or atleast from what I see it is. I dont know I was wondering what you thought. This question is for the only Memphis fan on here that I think is a good poster and that is not CALISKING so whatever you will be ignored.

People on Tiger message board are delusional. Tigers should probably split the UT and Gonzaga games. Probably lose at TBA and win at Zags (we've had their number the last 3 years). Possible CUSA losses at UTEP, at Southen Miss, or at UAB.

That being said, if Taggart and Dozier finally wake up, grow a set, and play like they did in the tournament last year, it is possible for this team to run the table.

While these schools aren't Gtown, Xavier, and Syracuse, several are above average opponents with wins over BCS opponents already this year.

I am a season ticket holder and what I see is the dribble, drive offense finally being run the way it is supposed to against man to man as well as zone. The ball is not stopping and guys standing around like earlier in the season. Anderson is able to defend the way he has for the last 3 years because he is not having to expend so much energy running the point.

UAB, Tulsa, Cincy all have higher RPIs than LSU, So. Carolina, and Miss. State. Yet, So. Carolina is considered a tough out as well as LSU and Miss. St. are contenders for the SEC West Title.

Possible yes , likely no . We'll struggle at @ TN. , @ Gonzaga @ , @ S. MISS? , @ UTEP , and we still have to go back to the spitoon known as UAB . I know it sounds arrogant and I dont mean for it too , but we are a notch in everyones belt that beats us . Except the obvious TN. - Gonzaga .

If Bruce gets wind of this he'll be on the phone to the ncaas. Old habits like snitching are hard to break.:eek:hmy:

I think that's why the other coaches love him so much .

:good!:lidderer

Like Tiger Den said, it is possible but not likely. It can be done but I would be slightly surprised if it did happen. A win in TBA this weekend would be a big confidence builder for the lesser conference games. I am seeing a loss in Washington though.

That argument works for football, not so much in basketball.

Recruiting letter.
Weak.

Ah, fanboy. Nice.

yes that is what one calls another when they blank out all sense of humour and instead view a light-hearted recruitment letter as 'weak'[sic] jabbing.

it is someone who looks beyond all else for the sake of fandom, hence fanboy.

Nice, indeed.
