UT vs Ol Miss in the SEC championship!

Should not Shock anybody. They have a copycat offense to ours. The same formula.
They can’t push the ball down the field like us or even like they did with Corral. Dart kind of sucks. But they can run the ball and play defense now.

That would be a really fun game to watch. Might break the scoreboard.

That would be a fairy tale. So, what happens if we lose to Georgia and Bama beats them in the SEC title game?

12-1 Bama - SEC Champ
12-1 Georgia - SEC Runner-up
11-1 Vols

Do all three make the playoffs??
Bama not going to the SEC champ so no need in worrying about this scenario😎

I think 3 spots are settled already.

Winner of SEC
Clemson
Winner of Ohio State / Michigan

The fourth spot is the toss up. Right now I think there are like 4 teams left in play, Tennessee/UGA loser, Bama, TCU, Ole Miss.

Now dissecting those above:

TCU if 12-0 will likely replay OSU in league title game. I personally don't see Big 12 having undefeated team, but would be ironic if they did given Texas / OU plans to leave.
Bama and Ole Miss play each other. Bama wins, Ole Miss is out. Ole Miss wins, Bama is out as they'd have 2 losses.

Tennessee and UGA's floor now is 11-1 with winner being 12-0 in regular season.

The loser of Tennessee vs UGA will get that 4th spot if the winner goes on to win the SEC Title. I think the one exception would be if Ole Miss somehow ran table to be 12-0 and loses. Could a 12-1 Ole Miss team get in after losing in Atlanta over a 11-1 UGA/Tenn loser?

The only tomfoolery I could see is if Michigan beats Ohio State and the committee has to decide on a 11-1 UGA/Tenn loser and 11-1 Ohio State assuming the winner of UGA/TENN wins the SEC.
Good explanation. It’s a lot going on there, however I do believe if we win out and even if we so happen to lose the SECCG we are still a lock, basically we control our destiny at this point because we have built the resume

Yes i agree. At this point, I think a 12-0 east team going into Atlanta is in regardless. If UGA or Tenn go 13-0, I think the loser has strong case to get a playoff spot at 11-1

The last time Ole Miss and Tennessee met with an SEC title on the line was in 1990 in Memphis. I was at the game. Kelly and Amsler (one of my favorite Vols) blew through them in the second half. Earnest Fields blocked a extra point attempt and ran it all the back for two points.

Likely not. In that scenario, Vols likely play in Sugar Bowl vs TCU

Ole Miss is not going undefeated. They've probably played the weakest schedule in the SEC to date. They've struggled with some bottom feeders and they have continued to try to score, like throwing the ball, in the last minutes of the game once it's over and the other team is taking risks.

Ol Miss goes undefeated. We go undefeated. We meet Kiffin in Atlanta and get ALL the monkeys off our back in 1 season. Book it. All of the wrongs will be se right.

But will they have 10000 fake injuries again? What a shitfest that would be. The only thing is, in a game with that much visibility it might force the NCAA or SEC to do something about it, like a mandatory sit out period for an "injury"

I said after the florida game that this is what I wanted. Then if we can get Clemson in the playoffs first would be amazing. We owe them a beat down

Don’t care. F both of these teams. Kiffin won’t stay at Ole Miss so I guess OM beating Bama might be the funniest scenario.

Kiffin misses Knoxville.
Kiffin hates Saban as much as we do.
Kiffin very well could be the next Auburn coach just so he could stick it to Saban even more than he can in Oxford.
