'24 UTah WR/TE Roger Saleapaga (Oregon commit)

i think the only allowable exception is if your kid goes to a different school and you root for them. Unless they play your school, that is. of course i told my kids the only way you're going to any of the 3 schools i won't mention here is if it's on a full ride, all expenses paid scholarship, and even then, if you're getting that, there, then you can probably get that from one of the schools on the "approved" list.

long story short....i have soft spots for Miss St and Ark b/c my brother went to MSU and my grandfather played bball at Ark and i grew up in the midsouth...in no way shape or form would any of them take precedence over Tennessee in any sport.
If your kid goes to another school, you disown them. If they really loved you, they'd pick your school.

Wow Debbie Downers everywhere.....he may just shock the world....

But I guess the recruiting gurus know more than myself....
That's a pretty aggressive interpretation of my light-hearted suggestion that all signs point to Oregon.

What is this "second favorite team"? I only have enough room in my heart for one college team, in all sports, and that's Tennessee. There is no "second".
I have a big heart. Plenty of room for UT and the Ducks. By the same token, there's plenty of room for hate, too. More than enough room for bama and uga hate. As much as it pains me, I have to swallow hard and pull for bama in the SECCG. My hope is that neither makes the playoffs. Just can't see a world where UGA gets a 3-peat. That's a record that might never be broken. I can't live in a world where that's a reality. Sorry....cough, cough...roll tide.

This position like many positions I am not sure HOW the staff wants to finish. Continuing to dance is one thing, but are those we keep a dialog with at the high end of the board, or are we keeping contingency options open IN CASE we miss on our preferred options or have some unexpected departures. There are some NO-BRAINER wants, but some decisions will have to be made as we go down to the wire. Every prospect still on our dance card should not be worthy of bridge jumping failure rhetoric. For different reasons. Circumstances sometimes never have us really in the short straws in players minds and you stay in contact hoping those higher on the list insult his camp or a coaching change causes rethinking, etc. Folks need to balance out their hopes vs expectations down the stretch. HS vs portal solution preferences by the staff for the remaining slots by position would be really good to know. I don't.
