6 wins would be an accomplishment.

Everyone says this I still see no less than 7. Uga has a new defense coordinator and scheme they will be vulnerable and Florida same on offense. 7 is definitely not out of the question. I agree with many posters who talk about talent. Well if that is the case Utah and arkie St are wins.this team could come out solid and kicking ass. I not gonna say we will win 10 games but no one not even coaches know what they are going to do. Definitely not before spring practice. This is year two in a system and we actually have tight ends that are not hurt and can play and our offense knows the entire playbook. Defense same thing and in my opinion is more talented and probably just as strong physically if not stronger. I am not ready to put a number on this team . Fall ball or even better game one with be the first chance we get to see how many we will win.go vols

Ohh and vandy has new coaching staff!!!!!!
I was at my first and only bowl game when Tennessee lost to North Carolina with that fluke call that turned a celebration into defeat. I had never sat down close to the field at a UT game (always upper deck). I was on about the third row on the 40 yard line when Tennessee stopped Vanderbilt and celebrated the win. It was right in front of me, the whole season bowl game and all going up in smoke according to Jones' maxim, inches matter. that is how close Butch was to going 7-5 and going to a bowl game. That team and coaching staff deserved to win that game.

Our fans need to stop predicting us to beat Florida. We sound stupid. We're not even to the point in that rivalry where we "always find a way to lose." We're still consistently "finding a way to get destroyed by at least 2 scores."

If we can just get a nail biter against them I'll be more optimistic, but on several occasions over the last decade we've had a better team on the field and lost, and there's no guarantee that next year we will have the more talented team on the field.

I predict we break both the UGA and the Mizzou streak before we will break the Florida streak.

UT is screwed...great incoming class...but a bunch of freshmen won't get it done....I'm saying 4 -8 with Utah St being THE loss.

Im worried C. Keaton and Utah state are gonna come to Neyland and beat us and most ppl not knowing how good they are will say we suck and get down on the team before the season really starts

I'm curious, tell me what years in the past decade you believe we've had a better team than Florida?

2013.... for starters
2012 had the better offense
2007 for sure
And of course (since we're speaking the last decade) 2004, but that doesn't count because we won that one.

I just watched some highlights of him playing Weber State, when he was healthy. Not impressed at all. Decent arm, decent runner. Plus he will be coming off of an injury. What makes you think their defense is going to be able to contain our offense? Keaton is good but he is not as good as Shaw was and we did a pretty good job with him.

This is the stuff I love.

"2007 for sure"

59-20 and Tennessee had the better squad. Even thoug florida's roster would have 13-1 seasons the following two years.

No kidding!

People look at 2007 and see where UT went to the SECCG while ignoring the beatdowns from UF and Bama.

What does the next 2 years have to do with 2007?

We were the better team in 2007, you disputing that only furthers my point that we just consistently are awful in the Florida game. Glad to hear this is "the stuff you love" though.

Would you prefer I just say that Tennessee has never ever ever ever had a better team than Florida on the field in the history of all of football? Would that keep your feelings from getting hurt?

You've won 9 in a row and you want to throw a hissy fit for me saying I think we had the better squad almost 7 years ago? Go cry somewhere else.

If you put together an all-Tennessee team from 2007-2013.....

2007 Florida is still more talented

UT started that season ranked around 15, UF started the season near the top 5. I know UT had a SR QB in Ainge but UT had nowhere near the speed of UF....as shown in the opener against Cal.

Had Ainge had the WR's from '06, the team would have been very good.

You're an idiot.

I would be very curious to see how you came to that conclusion.

It's funny, I always look down on people who gripe about you posting here. It doesn't bother me at all. But I must say I'm coming to realize in my experience of dealing with you, you can't help but slip in your little "Florida is better" jabs when your team is being discussed. It really is annoying.

I hate Florida but he is right. Our 2007 was an overachieving squad, almost getting beat three or four more times than we did. There are only one or two positions we were better than Florida in 2007. Now for 2006 you have a good argument we should have won that game but 2007 was a blowout

With UtahST schedule last year, we would have been 10-4/11-3, they were 9-5. But they didn't lose much besides 2 best RBs and are bringing back two good QBs.

We lost all oline/dline starters but bring in a top 5 recruiting class. Also, the 14EE are more like RS FR or SO than true freshman. The real upgrade is on team speed and that will win us more games than last year and reduce the blowouts.

I think we beat Mizzou, they lost a ton of talent, especially on D. Offense lost Josey and Franklin. DGB is about one incident short of being kicked off team.

UGA is beatable too, Offense loses QB, WRs, TEs, PK and #6 Olineman tranfering. Defense was young but sucked last year. Their #1 defender just got kicked off team too. No Todd Grantham either FWIW.

FL will be better than last year but not necessarily better than when we played them as you guessed it that was their best performance last year. They will again rely on defense which lost a lot of players. Their D is still highly talented but the depth isn't nearly as good.

USCe lost less than 10 players but at least 7 were great players. We seem to match up better against them lately.

ARKst not as good as last year, win but no pushover, same for UK as they are playing tougher and had a decent recruiting class.

Franklin burned Vandy program like Sherman burned Georgia. They were already losing all of their talented players. We curb stomp them in Nashville. Their recruiting class was right up there with Savannah State.

Our best case scenario is about 9-4 with bowl win. our worst case scenario is 5-7.

I expect 7-6 with a bowl win as our Toss up/mild underdog games will be at UGA, at Ole Miss, at USCe and FL home.

I count UK, Vandy, Chattanooga, ArkST as wins. Mizzou and UtahST as close wins.

We can win anywhere from

You think he is right that if we did a "best players between 2007 and 2013" they still wouldn't be as good as the 2007 Florida team?

C'mon.

You come up with that team. And I'll come up with mine.

And keep in mind, cam newton is sitting on my bench

The Cam Newton that won the NC in 2010? Or the Cam Newton that had never played a down in CFB in 2007?

Ainge at QB with Hardesty at RB and Hunter/CP receiving is enough to make me feel pretty confident

It's a stupid argument either way, there's no way for either side to prove they are right, but I strongly strongly disagree with your point.

Can Newton scored a td for Florida in 2007 against Tennessee.

The team drew straws and he won, so it was his turn

Watch more than that game. When he was a freshman he went in to Auburn and was a lucky onside kick away from beating Auburn. Chucky Keaton is good, Utah St isn't a cupcake.

Sorry but Josh Harvey Clemmons was not our best guy on D last year. I can think of 3 or 4 guys that were better
