UT's chance at March Madness

He almost always nails the teams that will get invites. He may get the seeds twisted every year, but he's usually accurate on who gets in.

Maybe he'll change his tune in a day or so.

He's far from the most accurate, good, but not the best.

However, it's his final bracket he's graded on, he's alway shuffling teams on Sunday...wouldn't be surprised to see him move UVA and MTSU out even though they're done playing.

Didnt expect Maymon to miss the season though

While I will agree to some point that Maymon loss costed us a few wins, this season has been parallel to other Cuonzo seasons.

He has traditionally always started slow and forced himself to get hot at the end only to rely on the conference tourney to get in the Dance. That hasn't worked out and I believe that it has happened again this year. I am just tired of our seasons being predictable.

His injury cost us more than a few games.

Lunardi is definitely undervaluing us, but I think the chance we get in is 49%

Do you think there's any chance that lunardi's projections influence the selection committee in any way? Like either through them looking at his projections and leaning a certain way, or through him being buddy-buddy with one or more of them (not sure if that's the case or not).

I don't know much about these things, but I'd guess no. I'd guess that the committee looks at each resume without factoring in the opinions of the "bracketologists."

You're kidding right?

Why are people so hell bent on Lunardi, you'd think he's the second coming of Christ the way he's referenced.

I'll say it again, he's not the most accurate bracketologist out there, he's just the one you see ALL the time because of ESPN.

Is his final bracket typically close? Yes, but there's no way in Haiti that the committe says "well hey let's look at what Lunardi has" lol

Sorry rant wasn't meant towards you solely, just venting lol.

This is why I posed the question hypothetically. The answer should ofcourse be "no", but he's been so right so many times it almost makes you wonder. I think his predictions just get rammed down your throat so much on tv...you start to think his word is law

I swear if Maryland beats Duke.... ****ing ****.

That would just be another team we have to worry about. No ****ing thanks.

Come on Duke.

I'm officially convinced that Lunardi has no clue

I know we exist in the uncertainty zone, but his love for ky and apparent distaste for us blows my mind. Vandy won by almost 20 points. I just don't get how ky looks better than us for a tourney bid
