UT's chance at March Madness

I know we exist in the unxertainty zone, but his love for ky and apparent distaste for us blows my mind. Vandy won by almost 20 points. I just don't get how ky looks better than us for tourney bid

Their name and the fact their fans travel well

Ok We were right behind Kentucky before today's games. They get drilled by Vandy and we lose a tough game to Bama. And now they are 4 spots ahead of us???? Where is that logic?

exactly, we lose to an RPI #60 by 10, they lose to RPI #121 by 16.

What gives?

I.e. things that should not matter to Lunardi...

If the committee wants to factor in those things, I disagree, but whatever.

For Lunardi to do so is idiotic.

If Iowa beats Michigan State I'll shoot somebody.

That would be another game that just flat out shouldn't happen. We've already got the stupid ass Maryland win over Duke.

Don't hold me to this. Need some study time. IN: Boise, LaSalle, MTSU, Ole Miss. OUT: Virginia, Kentucky, Alabama, Maryland.

Lunardi is looking foolish. He has UT as one of the last 4 in before our game today then they lose to a decent Bama team and we go to first four out. Ky gets blown out by a horrible Vandy team and we fall even further? What a joke. He just keeps pushing us further down when teams with similar resumes are losing bad to horrible teams.

Just like almost everything in life, it's politics, Tennessee is not a sexy name in the basketball world. ie popularity vote

Question for the board...if Mizzou beats Ole Miss and Florida beats Alabama tomorrow which is entirely possible, who deserves to be the 3rd SEC team into the NCAA? Is there a chance the NCAA would only invite 2 SEC teams??

Yeah, this. Before our game started we were one spot below Kentucky. We were 3rd-to-last in and they were right in front of us. Their loss is WAY worse, regardless of Margin, yet he still has them 3 spots in front of us?

Maryland of course has already jumped us. It's like anyone who is close is automatically ahead of us. I can't even.

I'm just glad he's not on the committee. I don't think he has a personal agenda against Tennessee, but this is some ****ing bull****.

Based on Lunardi and how he projects, those teams would drop to first four out and TN would drop to 17th out. :loco:

Didn't say it was right, but his job is to predict what the committee will do. If anyone believes the committee doesn't have bias to such things isn't being honest with their self. The tournament is a cash cow. Gotta make sure it produces.

UT and Ky both losing today is just further proof that the SEC is garbage this year. UT had a chance to seal their bid and didn't. All Ky had to do is beat a sub .500 Vandy team and got hammered.

Ole Miss can just about seal their bid if they win tonight because they have an easy path to the finals after the Mizzou game.

Maybe that's why we're ranked #8 behind even MW and A10.
